Why is this Starbucks here? I dropped by at 7:30PM, I swear to god, and they were closed. Since when do coffee shops close so early? Perhaps they should either extend their hours, or close down and sell their space to another coffee shop that will stay open later. I am looking for a nice coffee shop around Martinez that I can frequent after work to enjoy a latte, read a book, and relax in. Peets is too far(down the hill for me), and I haven’t found any place around that stays open later.

I LOVE Starbucks, however, I do not like this one. They are consistently slow moving and quite rude. The last time Lex was beyond rude and this morning Chelsea was extremely rude. I arrived at 9:15 and as usual there’s no people in line waiting to order coffee, so i naturally think YES I will be in and out. WRONG! As usual there’s a few people taking orders and one new person making coffee ever so slowly. I get it, the new girl is new and in training. After waiting 15 minutes and my coffee is still not ready, I walked up to the register and suggested to Chelsea perhaps she or someone else help the new girl in training. Her reply was«She is never going to learn if we don’t have her just do it». I explained that I cannot wait 15 minutes or I will be late for work. OMG her reply blew me away, she said«Maybe you should plan your time better and we cannot be responsible for your being late». WOW!!! I then asked her name(she didn’t have a name tag on). Rather than to answer immediately, she said in a very snotty tone«What’s your name». She then reluctantly told me her name. I’m a very nice and understanding, patient person that doesn’t tolerate rude and nasty behaviors. Because of the consistent lack of customer service, I have to believe this place is poorly managed. What a shame because the nasty people at this location and the lack of servicing guests gives all Starbucks a bad rep. I, for certain will never step foot back into this location. Manager — get it together and run this place the way it should be. I’m in Management and if any of my staff behaved so badly such as Chelsea did today, I would give her a warning notice, at the very least.

Slowest Starbucks ever! These folks don’t know how to move. This is my 4th time here and other than the girl with red hair and short bangs, the staff needs to be managed better. They walk around like slugs. They need some motivation. They don’t look happy and I won’t be back.

It’s a small store, but the employees are usually very friendly and efficient. Much appreciated because it’s so much the opposite at the one in Pleasant Hill.

Starbucks is Starbucks! However, the baristas here are particularly friendly and they always spell my name correctly on the cup. This Starbucks is special because there is an outside seating area where people meet up with their dogs and have coffee Saturday mornings. It’s adorable :-)

The staff was very friendly but the cappuccino foam was a little off, that’s only worth losing half a star, the other star and half was lost over the awkward seating arrangements.

A very popular stop for workday morning caffeine fixes — definitely was for me! As with most Starbucks, the employees are super nice, and just as accomodating to experienced/fussy orderers as they are to people who just want a ‘lahge cawfee’. They know what you mean. 2 drinks, both with particulars, were in our hands in less than 3 minutes, and we made it work on time with delicious beverages to wake us up. I couldn’t possibly ask for more!

Honestly, I kind of hate Starbucks in general. Its not ‘real’ coffee. I was once a sleep deprived college student. I know what ‘real’ coffee is and Starbucks isn’t real coffee by any means. But I suppose thats more of a personal problem than anything else. For me, this Starbucks is too small and overcrowded(I guess, what in the Bay Area isn’t though?). In the mornings around 8:15, you’re tired. Your brewed coffee at home isn’t cutting it. You have just enough time before work to grab a coffee. You go to this Starbucks and alas there are 8 people in front of you in life. But ok! the line is moving fast. We’re good. Ok, yes, grande skinny vanilla latte… what…my total is $ 4.05 and I only got a drink? Ok sure whatever. Yes, my name is Cristin. No receipt thanks, yeah you too. Wait for my drink for 15 minutes. They put fucking whip cream on it. WHY would I get whip cream on my skinny vanilla latte? Ok whatever, I will scoop it off. I get in my car, head to work and take my first sip. Not only do I have whip cream on my skinny, but my espresso is burnt to shit, and the name on my cup is ‘Chistin.’ Not sure when ‘Chistin’ became an official name, but sure. Regardless, I just paid $ 4.05 for steamed milk and burnt espresso. Awesome. Great. QUALITY right there. Alright, I’ll admit, I’m being a bit of a diva, but FUCK, I pay $ 4.05 for a G.D. latte and you burnt it to shit and then have the nerve to put fattening whip cream on the top? You’ve got to be kidding me. I realize I’m a wee bit of a coffee snob, but REALLY? Now, granted, not every time is like this. Sometimes I get great service, with ‘Kristen’ on my cup, no whip, and perfeclty brewed espresso. But excuse me for wanting some consistency at a CHAINCOFFEEPLACE… especially after having paid four freaking dollars and nickel.

I love this joint. Tons of people always hanging out in front with their dogs, chatting the day away. Its tiny, to be sure, and there is another Starbucks right inside Safeway, but I think the staff here is really friendly.

My girlfriend was visiting her sister in Martinez and I needed a place to camp out. After dropping her off, I made a beeline for the nearest Starbucks so I could get out of the blistering heat. Being such a hot day, I opted for the peppermint mocha frap, which is normally a holiday flavor but apparently it made the regular menu and nobody told me. On such a sweltering day, it provided cool relief and made my day. If there’s one thing that sets Starbucks apart from the competition, it’s the service and the fellas here were spectacular. There are several dog-friendly tables out front that sit in the shade, as well as benches in the sun. The bathroom has some issues at this location since the remodel so hopefully they work the kinks out. Otherwise it was a great experience! Food: 9⁄10 Service: 9⁄10 Price: $ Atmosphere: 9⁄10

Nice quiet little Starbucks, tucked away in a little corner of the plaza. During the morning rush this place can get a little busy but the rest of the day its very quiet not much of a wait and my favorite place to get coffee.
