The Kitty Hawk is a cool place to grab a bite to eat. The atmosphere is unique being that it sits within the tiny Altoona Blair County Airport, and you can watch as the planes take off, and land. As far as the food goes its pretty much just middle of the road standard fare although they do offer a decent Friday Fish Fry. The prices are a bit higher than you would expect, although you pay for the somewhat different scenery. Overall the Kitty Hawk is a decent place to try out. Who knows maybe you’ll find a new favorite.

So excited that the restaurant is back up and running. Breakfast until 11 then lunch. Had a yummy over easy egg with thick toast and tasty bacon for under $ 4. Carlo had a great mushroom burger that tasted flame grilled as well as very tasty shoestring fries. The waitress was so accommodating she put my order in first to make the cutoff then his lunch order. Both still arrived together. Homemade pies are on the dessert menu. Save room. Yum.
