Benny’s Kitchen

I just had my first experience at Benny’s, and have already created a Unilocal account and made plans to have lunch there tomorrow. I was absolutely BLOWN AWAY by every aspect. Helen greeted me as I walked in, introduced herself and asked my name, and proceeded to tell me about the business and show me all of the freshly made cutlets, produce, and everything you could imagine. It gave me such an incredible sense of «home» it was very heartwarming.
All of my food was absolutely OUTSTANDING! She noticed that I looked like an athlete, and asked me if I had any certain goals to lose, gain or manage my weight and made adjustments to my order and made suggestions based on the information that I gave her. Totally above and beyond anything I expected or experienced for someone who met me 2 minutes earlier. My meal was absolutely delicious and the establishment is kept clean.
I highly recommend this to anyone and everyone in the area. For anyone outside the general area I recommend to find a way to go through Martinsville to sit down here and have an absolutely delicious and delightful meal and experience.

Use them for catering. Go there for lunch. Bring home their specialty sandwiches. Or pick up fish, chicken, etc. for dinner the next night. You can’t go wrong!!!
Food is exceptional. And you never know what «specials» will be fresh cooked that day or for the week. This is food you won’t find anywhere else. I have used their catering for nearly 10 years, and have always received overwhelming compliments. And I stop in once a week for lunch — even if I pick it up in the morning and bring it to work. Otherwise, I stop on weekends.
Environment is warm and friendly. Once Benny and Helen know you, they never forget you. They’ll know you by name and ask you about your job, your vacation, your kids and their activities, or anything else. They make you feel welcomed.
Make sure you stop there. You don’t know what you’re missing till you go.

My wife has been a customer for a long time, but this was my first visit. I was greeted and welcomed by Helen (she asked my name and introduced herself) as she showed me about twenty freshly made cutlets, soups, vegetables, rollatinis, and other prepared foods. You can also get beautiful sandwiches; desserts and baked goods. This place has excellent food and the best owners. I’m sold on my first visit. Will keep coming back for the great food and the wonderful owners.

I used Benny’s Kitchen for catering several times. With his lovely wife Helen they so aim to please. They are lovely people to work with and customized the menu for my last party. I love his kabob selections. They are his specialty and are the best. His salads were so enjoyed by my guests, they were fighting over the leftovers! The fried eggplant medallions were fabulous and the steak with mushroom sauce was perfect. I am so glad I chose Benny to cater my parents 60^th Anniversary party.

Benny’s kitchen is excellent. The food is always fresh and homemade! Do yourself a favor and go there next time your in the area for breakfast or lunch. Helen is extremely friendly and knows the majority of her regulars on a first name basis. Benny is a great cook and is a really nice guy. They are a great team. My favorites — Porkroll, Eggs and cheese on a hardroll. They toast the hardroll just right. Also, Any sandwich with their fresh roast beef or turkey. All in all, you want fresh food, come here!

Love Benny’s. Helen will make you feel right at home. When I first started working in the area I went to a chain sandwich place a lot before someone told me about Benny’s. The sandwiches at Benny’s are great. I highly recommend the roast beef, any of their specialty sandwiches particularly the Italian, and the grilled chicken w/​fresh mozz (the names recently changed and I forget what they are). Their macaroni salad is off the hook.

The next time you head to Dunkin Donuts, Panera or some other forgettable franchise, do yourself a favor and come here instead.
An incredible local deli — Benny himself is a warm and welcoming character.
He’s also an impressive chef, offering dishes you won’t find anywhere else in or around Martinsville.

Nothing better than a visit to Benny’s– feels like I am walking into my grandmother’s kitchen. Helen is a delight! Always asking how things are while carefully preparing your ordered snack, sandwich, or meal! It is refreshing to frequent a business who knows how to take care of their customers– hard to find these days! Food always fresh! BEST corn muffins and apple strudel I ever tasted! Wlb hazelnut coffee! They have done catering for us too– everyone raved!

I enjoy going there in the mornings, the owner is very friendly and only has an optimistic view on life. As the previous reviewer said, the breakfast sandwiches are terrific, Another thing I like is, when waiting for a sandwich, they have 2 local newspapers to read.

Benny’s is a small little deli in a tiny strip mall in Martinsville that is very easy to miss.
Sandwich’s are fantastic. Try the organic salads as my wife can’t get enough of them.
There is a rotating menu of fresh home made soups that are always good.
Prices seem high until you realize that the ingredients are top notch.
Besides soups, salads and sandwiches, Benny’s always has dishes such as sausage and peppers, baked salmon, veal cutlets etc. Some dishes are better than others and I tend to stick to the sandwiches.
Also, don’t miss breakfast which is much better than the other options in town (e.g., Dunkin Donuts etc.).
