Disclaimer; this is after 2 visits in an attempt to get my oil changed. Sign outside said $ 16.95 oil change. Under certain circumstances, perhaps this is true. Mine was bottom of the line conventional oil for $ 45. I showed up yesterday and asked how long, and was told they wouldn’t get to it that day –honest answer, big fan. Called today, was told 30 mins wait, about 30 mins of work. Showed up, got my $ 45 estimate, sat for nearly an hour without my truck being pulled in the shop. Wasted my time. Looks like the $ 41 service with brake check, tire rotation and other service checks at Precision Tune is where I should have stayed! Tuff luck, Tuffy’s. I won’t be back.

Wow. Amazing service. Very quick very efficient. My husband has read about auto garages that scam people when getting an oil change by not changing the oil as they should. They have everything out in the open and do a quick and good job. Promised the guy up front I’d write a great review. Just really friendly and convenient service.

How does a place advertise they are closed at 4pm but when you come to their place of business at 3:20pm they tell you they aren’t taking anymore cars despite the fact they just took another car. I was coming for a simple oil change as I was headed out on a trip the next day. No other work was needed and we asked them and they still told us no. That just left a bad first impression on their company. All of the techs were standing around with the exception of 1 who was looking under the hood of the car that they just took mere seconds before we asked them. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone because of that. Customer service goes a long way and this was a poor display of that.

I came in to ask maybe what was wrong with my car because it acted like it was coughing. They gave me so much information. So now I go here to get any auto work on my vehicle. I recommend this place highly.

This place is a disaster.
On June 18^th, I brought my car to Tuffy for an oil change and a trip inspection. The oil change was fast and cheap and as I was paying my bill at the register, I asked, «So, does this car look good for my road trip?» and I was told that the mechanic didn’t find anything. Now I’m wondering if he ever looked.
A few days ago, my brakes gave out and I rear-​ended someone in Albany, GA. Fortunately, I had already slowed down and the only real damage was to the front of my 71 Corvette. (It’s actually low enough to go under the bumper of the sedan in from of me.) I say «fortunately» because I COULD HAVE DIED and/​or KILLED SOMEONE if this had happened at a higher speed.
I talked to the owner, Mike, and he was completely unapologetic telling me that I had old brakes (duh!) and that it was their policy to not advise customers to replace their brakes because people usually think the mechanic is trying to get more money from them. That may be true in some cases but part of a good mechanic’s job IMHO is to ensure the safe operation of the vehicle and the people inside it. The past three services on this car have been at Tuffy and my first two experiences were good and I ASSUMED that they had done their due diligence with my car. Now I have my doubts.
Tuffy, if my parts look old or worn, grow a pair and tell me!!! By failing to do so, you took that decision away from me.

Great service, friendly atmosphere, and they didn’t make me feel like I was a walking $ 100 bill. Staff gave me prompt attention and quickly helped with my concern. Going to be taking my vehicle to this repair shop in the future.

5 star service all around! I got an oil change and tire rotation 41 point inspection. I called on the way there to check availability and Jimmy said when I got there it would be 45 mins. He was polite and knowledgeable and I was out of there in 45 mins. I will go back with confidence!

CROOKS! Paid a lot of money to get a balance and rotation from this place. When I picked up my truck l, there was so a vibration in the tires. I called them to see if they would take a second look at it and the anger I hot was that is probably my tires. I told them my last balancing went fine and I really thought it was on them to give me an answer. They tools me there nothing they can do so I asked for a printout of what they had done. The worker on the phone claimed there are no records. If I could give 0 or negative stars I would. I’m not giving up though. …they will get sick of my fave before I let them rip me off… By the way I went to wal mart and they corrected the crappy work for half the cost and guarantee their work. Do not go to Tuff on 98!

Went in for an oil change. Was in and out quicly. Jimmy was super friendly & knew his stuff! Will definitely be back :)

Had a rental with a nail in tire. Took it to pep boys and wal mart and both wanted over 30 $ and a two hour wait to boot for a five minute repair. Stopped in at Tuffy’s and even though they were swamped, owner took care of me immediately and at NO CHARGE! I gave the young mechanic 10 $ anyway. Great service. Don’t live in the area but this company did me a great service.

Cannot warn you off from this place enough. I’ll give a summary of the repairs and results from Tuffy Auto Service Center at this location.
Install power steering
Result: Job incomplete; had to pay another mechanic to complete the job. Their words were, «it looks like whoever installed this didn’t know what they were doing».
Also should be noted that within one day of this service my front left wheel fell off while on a highway obviously resulting in further damage.
Investigate /​repair flickering head light.
Result: within 2 days of payment the headlights failed at night and the wiring inside the dashboard caught on fire.
Ignition replaced
Result: Within 2 weeks of payment the starter failed and additionally burned out the flex plate which I eventually had repaired at a different shop.
Right side door lock replaced
Result: Within 3 weeks of payment the lock needed additional repair.
Additionally the rear view mirror they glued on fell off. but at this point that was to be expected. Most of these repairs occurred at Tuffy’s together and I didn’t start taking this truck to a different repair center until a pattern emerged.
The manager did not take any responsibility for the incompetence of service nor make reparations. Ill take it as a lesson learned for the cost. I cannot recommend enough to avoid this place at all costs.

I went to have my coolant flushed. When they had my vehicle up on the car lift they showed me where there was a leak in the right corner of my radiator. I took the guys flashlight and looked the length of the radiator and just checked out the car in general. I told them this is something I would have to monitor in the future and watch my coolant level. They were nice enough to top off my coolant to get me by. The next morning I crawl under my car to take a picture of this leak and send it to friends for their opinion. I noticed on the left side of my radiator there was now 2 wadded up pieces of duck tape shoved between the radiator and the protectant flap. This was NOT there yesterday and they never mentioned it to me. I find that very suspicious. I will not be going back. Oh by the way, haggle a price with them. They will do that.

Nope. Nope. Nope. Please run away from this place as fast as you can. Read the Google reviews. Run FAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRR away.
I know this review is long, but if you’re thinking about using this place, PLEASE read it. It might change your mind.
I just moved in to the area very recently. I mean, very recently. Like, a month or so ago. While I was driving, I hit a little pothole in the road and needed things to get fixed and tightened up. I have a German car, so getting anything fixed in a state full of trucks is a little difficult. I heard great things about Tuffy’s. They were cheap, friendly, nice, etc. And yes, they were all those things. The dealership said it was going to be 1100 $, (tire issues, balancing stuff, some small parts they needed to ship in) Tuffy’s did it for 300 $. Awesome, I saved 800 $. Score. Everyone wins.
THEN, shit started to go crazy about two days after I got the car fixed up.
I spun out.
In the middle of the highway.
For no reason. My car’s tries locked up while I was making a lane change. And I did a 360.
I’ve never gotten in an accident in my life. Ever. Never hit anything, never scraped anything, I’ve never even gone over a curb before. I’m a very careful driver. But here I was, backwards in a ditch on the side of a major highway, shaking and crying. Thank GOD I didn’t hit anyone. The cops came and checked everything out and a nice gentleman ended up calling a tow truck.
We ended up bringing my car to a different bodyshop to get looked at (Autoworks of Destin) and they informed me that my tires had not been balanced properly and whoever had done them had put them on wrong. They couldn’t say this was 100% the reason why, but they were pretty positive. This, naturally, pissed off everyone in my family and most of them wanted to force Tuffy’s to pay for everything. However, since I had been driving it for two days, it would had been a little too difficult to point the finger directly at them. It would be a long process that would cost lawyers and too much money. I didn’t want a fight, so I just wanted to pay for the damn thing and move on with my life.
So, another 1200 $ out of pocket to get everything fixed up and ready again.
DON’T go to this place. Not only have they pretty much screwed over my car (and it took an extra grand to reverse the damage), but I’ve heard from other friends that have had issues with it their cars too. Yes, they’re nice and cheap, but it’s not worth risking your life to save a few bucks. Please heed my story. Just pay a little bit more at a place that will back up the service that they do and will make sure you and your car is safe.

OUTSTANDING! I’ve been a customer of Tuffy — Mary Esther for 7 years. I have spent thousands of dollars in repairs on my vehicles — all of those repairs worth EVERY PENNY. The work is always top notch — the price is always negotiable — and I am made to feel important /​valued. They have fixed ‘repairs gone wrong’ from other businesses — they are quick — they are VERY professional. My man ‘Vance’ knows his stuff — knows me by name — and has definitely EARNED my business and my trust. Don’t waste your time spending big bucks at a dealership. Go to Tuffy — Mary Esther.

I’ve used at least 6 other local auto repair shops, and this is the only one that doesn’t make me think I’m being ripped off. They even lowered the price for a service automatically, after I had already signed to a higher price. Try to find that anywhere else! They also seem highly knowledgeable and competent.
