We struggled with balanced chemicals this summer. R & S was thorough and discovered a defective salt chlorinator that was only 2 ½ years old. They called me to tell me it was still under warranty and fixed it in a timely professional manner. Awesome!!!

Awesome pool store. Everyone is so helpful, personable and know their stuff. We used to drive clear across town to go to a cheaper pool store, but the kids behind the counter, though sweet and friendly, didn’t know nearly as much as the folks at R & S.

They have a great selection of pool and spa related stuff for sale in the store. And yes, it’s cool that if you bring in about 12oz of your pool or spa water they will take a look at it for you and figure out what levels of what you have in there so you know how to properly treat the water(and provide you with instructions on how to do so.) I called them to come check out my hot tub for me because when I bought my house, it came with a hot tub and I had no idea how long it had been there or anything about it so I wanted them to come out, take a look, tell me if anything was broken, treat it with my chemicals and/or theirs if necessary, and tell me what I needed to buy if anything. They told me on the phone it would cost about $ 125 to do this. The guys showed up when I was at work and my BF let them in.(This was arranged.) They went to the backyard where the spa is, and they messed with it for about a half an hour or so. Then, they left without even telling my BF anything. I called a day later and inquired about what happened and the guy said they found a leaky part and it would end up costing like $ 500 or something insane like that to fix. But he did mention it was a slow leak so not a huge deal if I didn’t get it fixed right away. I asked him what else they had done e.g. treating the water and he said he had no idea. I guess my initial experience with them wasn’t so hot(pun intended, ha ha) but after calling back Don, the maintenance guy today, I am starting to warm up to them(OK I’ll stop now, I promise.) I decided the following weekend, I would go to their store with my chemicals, some spa water, and my old test strips to figure things out. The guy working there seemed a little absent-minded… I asked him what I needed to buy and he said I was good to go with what I brought in.(I was worried the chemicals I had were expired but he assured me they don’t expire.) I asked him about the test strips because there IS an expiry date on those. He said it would probably be a good idea to get more of them. I asked him about filters and he explained those to me. I was about to leave when I realized he hadn’t grabbed any test strips for me. So he grabbed some and I paid for them(about $ 10 I think plus tax.) After I left the place, and got home, it dawned on me he forgot to grab chlorine for me too. When I called and got Don on the phone he explained that my Spa Shock stuff does the same thing as chlorine although it’s not technically chlorine. So my test strips kept saying 0 ppm of free chlorine in the water… it was weird. But man, that Don guy is pretttyyy dang knowledgeable about spas. I think he might be a covert chemistry teacher or something. He explained some chemical reactions to me about chlorine turning into gas and stuff. So yes, the guys here seem to know their stuff. Also when I was in there, I asked about what«work» the guys had done when they came out to my house. He asked me for my last name and he tried to look me up in their system. Apparently there was NORECORD of me ever having maintenance done or any kind of house call. I asked if he spelled my name wrong and we double, triple checked and nothing came up on his computer. Odd. But when I cleared things up with Don, he said they never charged me for the trip because they didn’t do anything so that was a relief. I felt bad for sounding suspicious over the phone initially but it was pretty odd they didn’t leave any kind of receipt with my BF. It sounds like Don was supposed to call me back but he thought someone else had already talked to me(which they did, but it just didn’t clear anything up to me.) So yeah. Miscommunication. But overall since they seem experienced and been around for so long, I would probably use them again for services esp if I run out of chemicals/test strips.

I went here to pick up a rather obscure part for my parents 25 year old hot tub. They knew exactly what I was talking about, and even had top options for me to choose from, all at a cheaper price than I found online. Really great selection, people, and prices!

I have had pools for 28 years and have used this company for 28 years. They have a service department that I have never used as I believe they only service spas. If you have some tiny little part and you need it just come here first. The philosophy of this store is they have it. Where other pool supply companies say they will order it they just go back and pick the part off the shelf. You will not meet a staff that is more knowledgeable about pumps, filters, chlorine dispensers, heaters whatever you have a question they have the answer. One quick story to illustrate their service. I had a broken skimmer basket and went into the store. They are busy so you have to take a number. I pulled my number and went over to the other side of store to kill time. I turn and look at the counter and an employee had the skimmer in his hand. Yes they are that good. Had the correct brand and size and just saw me walking around with it. Amazing.
