IHOP has been a favorite of mine for a long time. However, the main thing that I have learned is that you can’t associate a positive dining experience with restaurants just because they have the same name. This IHOP is in a location which largely determines the demographics of its customer base. At 10:30 AM there were lots of senior citizens and retired folks. Unless you want a fast food meal there are few restaurant options nearby. This IHOP is a better choice for breakfast and «all you can eat pancakes.». As so many observe the food was nothing remarkable, basically the same as Denny’s and a little more expensive. The difference, if any, was determined by the waitstaff. All the people working at this IHOP were courteous and pleasant, even if somewhat chatty. Our order was ready in 15 minutes. I keep hoping for a good cup of coffee but not this time.

It’s a typical diner place (Denny’s, shari’s, etc…). Ok service, breakfasts are pretty good, a little more $$$ than a place like this should be but kids eat free at this location with a regular menu item purchase. We come here regularly so it’s obviously good enough :)

The first time I came here with my family and friends we waited about 20 minutes before our order was taken and after waiting another hour we asked why our food wasn’t out and the waitress said oh I forgot to put it in… Just shaking my head. The waitress didn’t even say sorry or nothing so we decided to just leave. Today I wanted to give the place a second chance. I ordered the steak tips and waited about 10 – 15 minutes for it and it was in between cool and warm. Avoid the place if possible

Very slow to get seated even though it was not busy. Well finally seated after 20 minutes in the booth that was open the entire time. Ordered earl grey tea, got orange pico instead, I guess the thought they new better. Food was ok, but very noisy.

Best experience ever!!! I got the country omelette and it was double the size that the one I get in my hometown San Diego… The peach pancakes were amazing and Nate our waiter was awesome! So complete 5 stars, best in everything!!!

I’ll just get to the point and end it with why it earned it’s way all the way down to 1 star. The service was very slow. The waitress was not attentive at all. The food was okay. They charged 15% gratuity for a table of 8. It’s an IHOP, but whatever… But here is the final kicker, or as it were the 1 star earner… one of the group asked if she could add avocado to her sandwich. The waitress replied, and I quote: «You could if we had any.» Where is a quality manager/​or a service staff trainer in this place. This place is terrible… simply terrible.

I have not frequented various iHop restaurants so I can’t say if this particular establishment is different from most. The Smokey Point iHop seems extremely ghetto. Our waitress was missing her front teeth. The restroom reeked of cigarette smoke, and the majority of diners were hooked up with emphysema inhalation machines, walkers, or wheelchairs. No offense to the elderly, but I felt like I was dining at a convalescent home, and the food was definitely along the same standard as the cafeteria options at the local retirement facility. Another lesson learned in «you get what you pay for»!
The «Kids Eat Free» gimmick is a come-​on. Kids eat free everywhere! There is absolutely no reason why a child should be ordering his/​her own meal to begin with. The super-​sizing of American appetites has gone so far overboard that any child under 10 should easily be able to split a meal with their accompanying adult.

My husband and I visited this IHOP on a busy Saturday morning. They sat three tables right next to each other at the same time, including us… with the same waiter. Our waiter did the best he could with their seating issues. Kitchen took a while with the food. As far as I’m concerned, it’s a typical IHOP, nothing fabulous.

Every time I’ve been here the service is horrible! One time it was a new server who had way too many tables while the others seemed to have only a few. The next time we were one of the only tables and after 35mins the waiter finally realized our order had never even printed out in the kitchen. He claimed to give me the kids meal free, gee thanks but it says on the sign kids eat free already!
The service sucks, the wait is horrible, and the food isn’t all that great!

Friend and I went here for a quick dinner after being at the lake, waiter David was very nice and efficient. Ordered steak and eggs with side of bacon for both of us. Got food relatively fast. Steaks were obviously freezer burned and rancid. Bacon was also rancid tasting. Waitered paid for our meal which was nice. Left him a $ 25 tip for being so great. Won’t be going back though — ever.

Newer and cleaner. Went with a large group and they accommodated us well, although we had to kind of squeeze in. Food was standard IHOP fare but done well.

If you want a clean and friendly place to relax and eat, my family and I have been to this IHOP numerous times, and the service has been good most of the time. The greeters and servers (with the exception of the one time) have been very friendly and attentive.
Our tables are always clean and the other patrons have been nice as well.
The food has been cooked well with few issues. The coffee is always hot and good.
The parking lot is a little weird, so be careful.

Me and my husband had come here two times, and both time received horrible service. The first time, we had waited over an hour for our food. And when it’s only two people and not a whole lot of people in the restaurant to begin with, I don’t understand how it took that long. Maybe they were short staff? But it doesn’t help that the waiter didn’t come and check up on us at all for an hour so we couldn’t even ask him how much longer before our food is ready to be served.
We came here a second time hoping maybe it was just that first time. And the same thing happened! Then, speaking with a friend of mine who had came a week ago, he said the same thing happened to him. So, I just suggest going somewhere else. This place had horrible service, at least to us…

7 – 12 minute wait, which was way shorter. Upon being seated «Justin» our waiter took our drink order and when he brought me my coffee it had lipstick on it. I said this is not my shade. I showed it to him and instead of him say «sorry» he only said…“oh, its not, I will bring you another cup.“
Mallory was very nice as she was very busy, took the time to refill he coffee carafe and refill the specialty creamer… all with a smile.
Once my meal was over, put the last of my coffee in my mouth. Looked in the bottom of the cup… DRIED HASH BROWNS.
OMG!!! That’s gross!
So ignoring my suggestion, my husband told the cashier. She took the coffee off… said sorry for the experience.
Maybe I’m to picky… nahhhhh I don’t think so!

We love this Ihop!
We come here all the time. Our favorite server is Anna. She is really polite, friendly, and sweet. The food is always great, the place is always clean, and its never overly crowded.
This time, I forgot to take my leftovers with me. I called more than an hour later, and the host David told me that they had put it in the fridge for me! Wow! I’ve forgotten my food plenty of times at other places, but I’ve never had them put it away just in case I came back for it! Thank you for the great customer service!

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. So many things were just wrong from the moment we got there. I just didn’t feel the waitress was very friendly or really cared if things were right or not. My friend’s bacon was nearly burned, anothers was missing the sausage, and my boyfriends hashbrowns were barely cooked. Yeah the pancakes were tasty but not worth the price, crappy service or the long wait for the food to come out.
