Java Detour

The way they go about letting employees go is horrible (i have a friend who worked there for 3yrs) The guy who «manages» java (and i do use that word loosely) has relations with employees and whoever that employee is gets superb treatment of course. The drinks are delicious of course but I will not support a business who doesn’t have the decency on treating ALL their employees equal

I love java detour but i will not return to this location. On many occasions I have arrived to get coffee and was 2^nd in line. The barista either doesnt come out to get my order when there is a long wait or. goes to the 3^rd car. gets their order.. And ignores me. Really! So rude. If it had only happened once. ok. But it has happened on 3 seperate occasions. Make the drive to the yc location or other msvle location. they provide excellent service!

I get my iced coffee drinks from Java Detour so often that the baristas will have my drink already made for me at the window before I can even order. Now that’s what I call fast service!
Java Detour is literally a small little hut like structure and there are drive thru windows on both sides of the stand. The layout is very similar to what you would see at a Dutch Bros. coffee stand except that there is no sit down area outside. Java Detour, however, does have a wide enough drive thru to where if you are stuck in the drive thru line and you’re running late and need to leave for some reason, you can actually drive out of place in line and leave. There is nothing preventing you from leaving the line.
The service is great and the baristas are friendly. I bought a coffee gift card to give to my friend once and for some odd reason, the card had a zero balance on it. The staff there were more than happy to resolve the problem and everything was okay after that. They didn’t give me a hard time.
As far as the drinks go, I honestly don’t think you can go wrong with iced mochas whether it be organic or just the regular kind. I did order the German chocolate iced drink once just to try something different and it was disgusting. It literally was like slurping on a piece of German chocolate cake. I think the drink was too sweet and it was just not to my liking. The stand does have a lot of flavors to choose from so I am sure you will be able to find something you will like. They also sell Italian sodas, baked goods, oatmeal, and breakfast croissants (only in the morning).
As mentioned before, the service is usually pretty quick, but the line of cars do get backed up especially during their Happy Hour where all the drinks are only $ 4.00 and you can choose from a size small — large for that single price. Drinks are still pretty affordable even when it’s not during Happy Hour.

Best coffee ever! Black and white mocha or salted caramel latte. Yum! Always great service with a smile too. Great place to get a smoothie too if you’re not into coffee or you want a sweet healthy treat for the kids.

I went to Java Detour under the insistence of my friend who swears by them… being a Starbucks gal myself… I was apprehensive, but decided one morning to give it a shot. What can I say? It was ‘ok’ nothing to write home about, I could probably make the same at home with my Keurig honestly…
My friend can keep this place, and I will continue my service at my faithful local Starbucks… cannot beat the Double Chocolate Chip Frap!
On another note, the staff were very friendly to us so that was a plus… excellent service, so-​so drinks.

Have bought coffee here several times since moving here in January. Great service, excellent coffee every time.

The new owner is rude, stand offish and never wears a her hair back or in a net. Many times I have waited in a long line to be served and not so much as an acknowledgement or thank you have a nice day. Are you kidding me?! I can go to the Brick or to the Starbucks down the street and throw my money at them instead. Learn some basic customer service. The young men that work there are much more personable and professional.

I visited this establishment on April 2^nd with a 3 dollar coupoun for a large drink. The young man took my coupon and my three dollars and let me know that it would be an extra 50 cents for the caremel for my drink. A few moments later another woman asked me for my 3 dollars, in which I tried to explain that I had already explained that I gave the three dollars to the young man and I only owed 50 cents. She asked the guy if he received three dollar payment from me and he said no. And they charged me the 3.50 again. So for a coupoun that was supposed to be 3 dollars for a large drink turned into me 6.50 with a coupon. I realize we are human and make mistakes but I would not visit this particular Java Detour again for this reason.

This is my new home. They get my order right every single time, unlike the place that starts with S. The taste is great. Give Java Detour a try, and you’ll forget about the place that starts with S.

Not the best latte but consistent. They open early so I can get my involuntary habit under control. It’s not the caffeine, although that might be a factor, it’s the exquisite flavor and creamy texture that satisfies my body and mind with every taste.
