I love BBQ. I’ve crisscrossed the country over the last ten years and traveled well over 100 thousand miles through every state in search of the best BBQ in America. So believe me when I say Jeff has something special going on here. He’s only been open a few weeks so he’s still working out everything that comes with starting a new restaurant. But he already has that one quality that is strictly required for any great BBQ eatery. He is passionate about his art and it shows in the food he makes. In true Texas style(with a few concessions for local taste) he even imports his wood specially from Texas to give his smoke that special kick. He dedicates himself to painstakingly preparing the food for each days customers and never offers dried out reheated meat in his resturaunt. His smoked Turkey was particularly good and the pineapple chilli was absolutely delicious. Another standout is his Texas style brisket, the mild smoke flavor pairs well with his choice meat cuts and(while I know I’m departing from true Texas style) I found it particularly good with a touch of Jeff’s spicy BBQ sauce. Well worth the trip to enjoy some truly choice authentic BBQ.

Recently moved here from Texas and was told about this BBQ joint by a lady at a doctors office. Went tonight for dinner and had the brisket, turkey, potato salad and brisket baked beans. This is true authentic Texas Style BBQ, we were so excited to have this taste of home here in the northwest! Jeff even brought over a spare rib for us to try, no charge. The meat is so tender you only need a fork, the sauce is completely unnecessary because the meat is smoked perfectly. Do yourself a favor and go have a taste of Texas. We will definitely be back!

The food was delicious! We had the brisket, pulled pork, turkey, brisket baked beans, potato salad and coleslaw. Everything was very tasty and fresh. He also has local craft beer on tap. Jeff’s hard work and passion for authentic Texas BBQ is clearly demonstrated. If you like real food instead of corporate restaurant offerings be sure to try Jeff’s Texas Style BBQ.

As someone who knows his way around bbq, I can say that Jeff’s Texas Style is some of the best in the region. Don’t confuse it with something like«Dave’s», or «Dickie’s», or other places that tend to make more Kansas City and North Carolina styles, i.e. drenched in lots of sticky, sweet bbq sauce. Texas style lets the smoke and seasonings do the talking.(Although Jeff does provide a couples sauces for those who absolutely have to have it.) The brisket I had was tender and juicy, and seasoned just right. Real Texas style tends to favor black pepper, and Jeff uses just the right amount. The pulled pork was as good as it gets. My son ate his helping, and then ate most of mine while I was out back, checking out Jeff’s smokers. The beans were very sweet and flavorful, and despite what another review said about the coleslaw, I found the sriracha-based sauce to be very good. Everything was fresh, and I especially enjoyed the fact that you could order a local microbrew to go with the meal. Not many BBQ joints around here offer that.

Coleslaw and potato salad could have been better. We did find a good BBQ it is Bam BBQ and their salads and meats are the best.

Jeff has hit the mark with a GREAT Texas style brisket!!! Had the brisket and pulled pork sandwiches. Both were awesome. The secret weapon is the brisket baked beans. :) You won’t be disappointed in flavor, size or quality here. Clean, friendly and a labor of love. It’s really nice to see another good BBQ joint, and as a Texan myself, another Texas Style smoker is always gonna win!

Excellent Texas style BBQ… their opening on January 2, 2016 welcomed a good new year for the area’s cuisine. The offering is diverse and all high quality. My favorites so far are the brisket, turkey(so moist!) And both bean styles. Well done… go…you won’t be disappointed.

We enjoyed excellent, tender, authentic Texas — style brisket and interesting local craft beers at Jeff’s new bbq restaurant in Marysville. The brisket was really outstanding — very flavorful and so tender we didn’t need a knife.

The brisket is okay, but it is a little over-cooked. Even Jeff admits it. It seems rushed, because it’s not very evenly smoked. This is somewhat understandable for a food truck. Some of the cuts are too fatty, without a lot of meat. There are not very many sides offered, at least not sometimes with the smoker trailer. Good, but it could use some improvement.
