3 Steaks later and still didn’t get it right. Side dishes were almost cold. Manager seemed to care less. Bartenders were excellent, as usual. Someone’s not paying attention to whats going on.

Here’s the good. The food was great. I enjoyed it. I had the shrimp cocktail; my husband had the prime rib; my son had the Mac n’ cheese. We all enjoyed the food. Here’s the bad: The meal took over 3 ½ hours. I mentioned this to the waiter. He didn’t seemed to be phased by this. It seemed as if this is par for the course. What gives? I was so angered by this I downloaded the app and I am using this time to be somewhat productive by writing the review. In this time, I could have slaughtered the cow and smoked the beef. I could have caught the shrimp. i could have gone to culinary school and gotten a degree to create the meal. Save your time. Don’t go prime

This place has it all… great food, innovative menu plus classics, outstanding service, and nice ambiance. I was here for a business dinner, and servers Jen and Ryan were outstanding. Our sommelier took great care of us as well, making an excellent Cab recommendation. Dinner started with complimentary popovers which paired well with the candied bacon appetizer, an absolute MUST! The seafood tower was fun as well. All of our steaks were cooked to perfection. We ended with the home made donuts that came with three flavors for dipping or infusing. Delicious! Plus the complimentary cotton candy bouquets to end with our coffee. My only complaint, is that it’s located at Foxwoods instead of closer to Boston

Best meal eaten in a long time. We had 32 people in private room for Fri night. Everyone raved about how great it was — service, steaks, sides, desserts, cocktails. Loved the blackberry lime rickey. The cotton candy at the end was a fun touch. We have some tough customers in our group and they were all very satisfied. Private room is very well sealed from the rest of the restaurant which makes you feel like you are the only ones there — great on a bustling Fri night. We were well attended to by the staff assigned to us and they could not have been more pleasant. Before the dinner my boyfriend and I had visited the bar ourselves and the bartender was really friendly — she turned me on to the blackberry lime rickey. I only had one then because at $ 17 a pop — yeah, well, let’s wait til the firm is paying LOL. The beer however was very reasonably priced.

I would have given this place 5 stars a couple of years ago. When I order steak, I get the rib eye steak medium rare. I have tried the different aged rib eyes they have. The last few times though they have not been very tender. It makes me wonder if the rib eye steaks are prime cuts. $ 55 plus steaks and everything else is a la carte. I expect better when spending that kind of money. On the flip side, they do a $ 5 dry-aged burger special at the bar during the week which is very good.

I have had dinner here several times when visiting Foxwoods. I normally have the seafood which is fantastic! I love the ambiance, and attentive staff. I always leave satisfied and full. CONS: Cocktails are grossly overpriced. $ 15 for a Mojito! I’ve never paid close to that in a Manhattan bar/restaurant.

How this place does not get 5 stars from everyone is beyond me. We eat at steakhouses all over the place including NYC, Chicago, Las Vegas etc. and this is by far one of our favorites! We usually go to foxwoods for a nice massage and a great steak from DB and its a heavenly get away. Our server is usually Sara(back by the fireplace) and she is excellent!!! We usually get the BACON! It is thick cut, maple glazed greatness! We then move on to french onion soup which is perfect. I usually go with the surf and turf and my wife enjoys a nice filet mignon and we side it with some fries and mac and cheese. This is our go-to meal. FYI: This is not steak and eggs at mcdonalds, this meal usually runs us $ 200 – 300 but it is worth every single penny!

Decent food, overpriced for what you get. A Wagyu filet can be purchased for 60 or so bucks, why they charge 120 when all they do is throw a white truffle mousse over the top of a Wagyu filet is beyond me… and why not let the meat speak for itself, the white truffle is a bit of a useless platitude.

If I could rate this a 6 I would. Our servers Marcy and Steve were beyond fantastic. I mean top notch A+++++++++ We ordered the special it was surf and turf — lobster was in butter and opened came with asparagus and potatoe croquettes the streak was medium rare and tender to the fork So can I say BACON?‘ We ordered the sweet pepper bacon and I swear was the best thing I ever tasted I would have ordered more to go and ate it all night if I could of ! We also got some oysters that were fresh and tasty

Went here to celebrate stepsons 21st birthday. This is the type of place that you only go to for special occasions(unless ofcourse you are part of the 1%) So there were 6 of us and with a tip it was $ 600. Service was absolutely top notch and mostly everything we ordered was excellent. Here’s what we had. Popovers– each person gets a complimentary popover and I’m a huge fan of popovers and I could have just ate these with butter all night long. Wish I could have brought home a dozen. Table side Caesar salad for 2– excellent Iceberg wedge –excellent but $ 16. come on that’s crazy! Meatballs — I didn’t like at all but most others did, I make better Potato croquettes– again, I didn’t like but most did, I have had better Fried green beans-OMG-I ate almost all of them. The best appetizer Bacon– 2nd best appetizer, must try at least once Kentucky rib eye 30 day dry aged– worth the $ 54. 55 day dry aged rib eye– again delicious and worth the price Boneless braised Short ribs — very good, nice choice if not big steak lover. Portion is huge and worth the $ 36. Angry filet with shrimp — very small portion, though the 3 shrimp were large. More shrimp than beef Drunken doughnuts-delicious and fun to share. Cheesecake pops– meh, nothing to write home about. Cotton candy — it is complimentary so save room for it!

Service at the bar was awful… they didn’t clear the plates or silverware from the bar when we sat down … When our food arrived they actually placed new silverware beside the old ones that had been left there by previous patrons! It was shocking !

With the loss of Craft Steak, this is where you need to go to get some dry-aged beef. There are a ton of dry-age steak options of course, but there are a surprising number of seafood options too. The oysters were very fresh. The steaks are obviously good. I felt mine was a little over, but overall it had good flavor. The real gem was the dry-aged burger. Probably best the best burger ever. It was so good and flavorful, simply amazing. Service was good. The restaurant itself and strangely devoid of customers, so I hope it is still around when we go back.

The food is good but the service leaves a lot to be said. At the very least, this place will run about $ 150 – 200 per person. If you have expensive tastes, the sky is your limit. The service, though not horrible, does not live up to those prices. We were served by 2 waiters, one was slightly standoffish(not dealing with the serfs!) and took our initial order, the other did all the rest of the followup. We hardly saw saw either one of them again. If I am going to spend this much for dinner, I expect the food, the ambiance and most of all, the service, to be top notch and worth my money. It just isn’t any more. I come here once a year and have noticed the service levels decline. At this rate by next year, I might get better service at a diner.

Don’t go as a big party… Fixed menu prep was horrible. One of the worst steaks ever had. The 14 others at dinner said the same thing about the overall experience. Our other parties who ordered off menu had a great meal. Great food and atmosphere. Service is decent. Management good. Bar is nice. Just don’t let them make you do a fixed menu if you’re a big party… Only order of the menu!

Driving from NYC we made it just in time for our 11:45 pm reservation & we’re thrilled we did! What a beautiful restaurant! Wait staff really knowledgeable & courteous. Décor more than inviting, too bad this is not in NYC, but @Foxwood’s in CT.(Not a good thing) We started our dinner with some cocktails and their popovers… perfect! The crab cake app as well as the caesar salad that was prepared table side. Second to Prime 112 in Miami, which means it was terrific! Our bone-in sirloin was cooked to perfection. Aged and delicious! Mashed potatoes wonderful as was the mac-and-cheese! The only thing we would not repeat was their special salty-caramel sundae dessert. The cake was stale as well as the caramel sauce. Truly disappointing! Overall, David Burke’s PRIME is a winner! Please open in NYC!!! No action in Foxwood’s…a waste of a great restaurant!!! We left Foxwood’s after dinner never to return, the suite we reserved was totally unacceptable as well as the manager’s attitude… quickly retrieved our car and spent a fun night gambling into the wee hours of the morning @Mohegan Sun.

Another great visit to David Burke’s Prime! Yes it’s pricey, yes, that’s the point. The steaks they serve here are something that you would have a hard time duplicating in the conditions at home. My girlfriend and I ended up starting with the Yellowfin Tuna Tartare served on a pink himalayan salt brick followed by 38 oz 55 day dry-aged ribeye for 2 and roasted asparagus with balsamic glaze. We finished our experience with the Molten Chocolate Cake and a capuccino. The aging process does something absolutely magical to the meat. It elevates it to another level. With impeccable service, a great ambiance, and fantastic food, David Burke’s is a perfect place for a night out whether you are celebrating an event or just want a good dinner.

So truth be told, it’s probably closer to 4.5 stars but here’s the thing: it just felt somewhat uninspired. A little too mass produced. And mass serviced. That is not to say it isn’t good. It is. Very good in fact. Lemme explain. We got in late on a weekend night. And we got seated with a waiter who was busy taking care of another larger table that just got seated. Guess who got ignored for a while? Not our waiters fault totally but the front of the house shouldn’t do that. We waited on our drinks and then for the other table to place their long order. The waiter had none of the usual banter — for good and for bad– so we just placed our order. Got the French onion soup which I enjoyed. Nice and cheesy. Not too salty. But you come here for the steaks. They are not cheap but they are excellent. I got the 18oz ribeye. It was cooked perfectly and was rich and flavorful. Lots of juicy goodness in each bite. Friend got the Bronx cut of filet which had a bone. Good stuff. The sides, while expensive, were fine. Not bad but not quite amazing too. Finish it up with cotton candy and it was a good though expensive meal. Just a little too corporate.
