Great store, friendly and helpful staff, work really well with the local running community and very responsive to feedback in terms of things they can order for you.

I recently visited Buckeye Running Company so that I could get a new pair of running shoes since I was unhappy with my current ones. The staff member I worked with (I wish I remembered his name!) was AWESOME! He was beyond nice and had me try on several pairs of shoes to see which fit best. He measured my foot, had me stand on a magic foot thing to see my arches, etc (don’t know the name of that either), and then allowed me to run outside in each pair to see how they felt. I left with a great pair of shoes at a very reasonable price. I will definitely be returning for all future running needs!

So happy to have a great locally owned running store in Mason! Helpful staff, good selection, and good prices. They even have a run club twice weekly!

Just took my first visit to Buckeye Running Company and was blown away. It just so happened that I was the only customer in the store at the time and I will have to say that the man working there had to be of the nicest individuals that I have met. I would say that we spent over 1 hour this morning talking about running and he personally took me around the store answering questions that I had about apparel and running shoes. I tried on a few pairs of shoes as he watched me run on the treadmill, offering advice on my form… He was very friendly and welcoming to me; even going as far as to inviting me to run with the running group which meets regularly on Saturday mornings at 8am. I told him I’d see him on Saturday!!!
Nevertheless, I have been running for a few years and I go through running shoes fast. With some of the knowledge I have gained by going to Buckeye Running Company, I believe I will be returning often; trusting them with all my running needs, concerns, and questions. Check this place out, they will definitely help you out!!!

I recently stopped in to inquire about some gel insoles for my running shoes. After talking to a member of the staff and calculating the miles tolled on my current pair we both assessed that I was probably due for a new pair of running shoes. The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. I tried on several pairs of shoes and finally decided on one. They were having a sale for 10% off of my shoes but they didn’t have my shoes. They ordered them for me and they arrived a few days later at which point they called to let me know. I also STILL received the 10% discount even though I hadn’t paid for my shoes yet but did «order» them.
After plowing my way through two half marathons in a week I stopped in again at the beginning of November to get some sports beans or energy gels for another half in Indy. They have a good selection of nutrition and they are reasonably priced.
Buckeye offers prices that are better than the chain sports stores plus you get more knowledge and better service from people you know you can trust.
I will say that I didn’t peruse the entire store for other accessories so I can’t go into detail about other attire and equipment they offer. But, if it pertains to running they likely have it and I would encourage you to check this place out the next time you need gear instead of the fancy, schmancy overpriced sports stores that have phallic words in their title. =)

Love this store! I believe they are the only running store in Cincinnati that carries Newtons. AND they will meet any internet prices! They are currently having a fall sale. 25% off regular price items. So I got my new Newtons today!!!
