My go to for donuts and cookies. Also their cake artist makes beautiful cakes! Very nice and personable staff! They are worth the wait on a Saturday morning

Best damn cake donut I have ever eaten. I will even go into the inconvenient parking lot early in the morning just to get one. Cases stocked full. Also a really good pecan Danish.

A custard filled donut has custard, a crème filled donut has crème. your 0 – 2 in the last 3 weeks.

Sweets have been good — usually tend towards the donuts. Honey buns and fried danish are where it’s at. ;) Staff has always been perfectly pleasant to me. Great experience all around — keeps me coming back and drooling for their donuts.

Their coffee cakes and danish are heavenly! Just like those from Camargo Bakery in Madeira where I grew up. They brought back great memories and are the best I ever had, so light and delicious! My family agrees with me, they are the best ever! Will stop by every time we are back visiting, just wish we lived closer!!!

We ordered a m&m cookie cake for our daughter’s «hunger games» theme birthday party. The employees were so easy to work with and came up with an awesome design around the topper we supplied. The girls not only loved how it looked, they thought it was the best cookie cake they’ve had! After pricing out other bakeries for the cookie cake I can tell you that Sweet Sinsations was by far the best price around! We definitely will be using Sweet Sinsations for our next cookie cake order!

Awesome, as always. Ordered a ‘cupcake cake’ for a shower at work. I wasn’t sure what I wanted, took their suggestion(baby rattle), and couldn’t have been more pleased. Great job, very reasonably priced; rave reviews from everyone at the shower. I love this neighborhood bakery — not only for its cakes and cookies, the donuts are as good as it gets. It really brings me back to memories of my childhood neighborhood bakery for freshness & flavor.

The good: absolutely nothing. The bad: I was very displeased with my experience here. We ordered four items 2 cupcakes and 2 pastries. They were terrible! The icing on the cupcakes was flavorless and I’ve tasted nothing like it. I actually threw everything that I ordered Away. Waste of time and waste of money.

Just moved to the area and needed a birthday cake for my daughter’s party. I called on Thursday and they were able to make one for Saturday! The lady I spoke with when I ordered was friendly and accommodating. The kids loved the cake, I was able to pay ahead so that we could pick it up on the fly and the birthday girl was happy!

I had a last minute request for a birthday cake. No one else could do it. The cake was one if the best ever. And the price was better than anyone. Thanks

When looking at the reviews by other people, there is a consistent theme. Good donuts, but wish the staff were more friendly and welcoming. We agree. We have ordered cakes just for our use at home, but our experience says that we would never order one for a wedding or event where other people would be there. Reason? Inconsistency. One time the butter cream icing is applied paper thin, the next, normal. One time a white cake has the texture of a pound cake, the next, normal. And don’t ever bring this to the attention of staff or owners. You will be made to feel that it is you who are wrong and question whether you even got it there. They deny, deny, even when you take it back and show them. No matter how obvious, they don’t see it. They are just plain rude and insulting. Only place I know of around here where the customer is always wrong. From the reviews, we are not the only ones who feel this way

I want to like Jansen’s Sweet Sinsations more, but there’s a few things that hold me back. First, I’ll start with the good: the donuts and baked goods here are freaking delicious. The donuts are consistently good and while I’ve only had cake from here once — a carrot cake — that was ridiculously delicious as well. The location is pretty easy to get in and out of too — it’s on Snider Road between 42/Reading and Tylersville Road just behind the Marathon station. There is a huge pothole in the exit though — so be careful exiting if you are turning right. Now, for the not so good: service and price. The staff is as consistently unfriendly and rude as the donuts are good. Your presence is a bother to them, you are unwelcome. Why did you come here in the first place? This is the attitude I’ve been given when stopping in early in the mornings. Furthermore, while they are not ridiculously expensive, I’ve noticed that they are more expensive than other nearby bakeries. You can get the same quality/size pastries from other bakeries nearby for much less and with much friendlier staff — why even come here?

My experiences here as a regular customer. Let’s start with service which I’d give a one or two stars rating. Not the most friendly or welcoming staff. They probably should be working behind a pharmacy counter somewhere. Unlike bakeries in the north or east or almost anywhere else I’ve been, this place is very stodgy and gives you 12 when you order a dozen of something. There is no such thing here as a ‘baker’s dozen’ which I found a bit surprising. OK… so they aren’t going to do the customer any favours/good will. I understand that’s the way many small towns in the south operate. The bakery and especially the donuts are good. No complaints. I just wish I could go to another bakery with better service, but honestly, none of the bakeries in down south or around Cincinnati know the first thing in customer service which is disapointing.

The birthday tradition where I work is that you bring in sweets on your birthday. I normally stop at Busken for doughnuts, but I spotted Sweet Sinsations a few weeks ago, so I stopped there today. Now, in my experience, little mom-n-pop shops like this always have the best doughnuts. Sweet Sinsations didn’t disappoint. I bought two dozen mixed for $ 20 from two very nice ladies behind the counter. As soon as I got to work, I sampled my favorite — the crème-filled doughnut. Oh. My. Gee. Most crème-filleds are stuffed with something more akin to icing than actual crème. Not this bad boy! The filling was a sweet, smooth crème that was absolutely delicious! The surrounding pastry was flaky and slightly crisp. I’m not exaggerating when I say it was one of the best doughnuts I’ve ever had. Definitely try Sweet Sinsations out the next time you want really good doughnuts. They also have a wide variety of other sweet treats — cookies and cakes and pastries. The cookies were very colorful and looked delicious. I may pick up a dozen of those next time!

Jansen’s Sweet Sinsations is simply the«OHHELLYES!!» of donuts and pastries. Hands down, the best bakery in all of the entire Cincinnati area. Consider this… if you get to the Busken’s commissary in Hyde Park just in time for a fresh batch of warm donuts and danishs to be the«OHYES!!», then you understand the rating scale. Seriously, I think Jansen’s puts crack into their donuts and danishes because I can’t quit. They are so rich, soft, and just melting gooey. There’s no way for me to adequately convey the fanboy that I am over this place. Words fail. Dunkin’ Donuts = 3.0÷5.0 Bonnie Lynn = 3.5÷5.0 Busken’s = 4.5÷5.0 Servatti’s = 4.5÷5.0 but… Jansen’s nails it at 6.0÷5.0 If it were a band, I’d have a poster on the back of my office door. Get my drift? So get into your car, drive up to Mason and send your blood glucose level to Neptune and your taste buds across the Rainbow Bridge to Nirvana!!!
