Payless Dresses

If you’re ever in need of a new wardrobe, go to Payless Dresses. It is an amazing store with high-​end designers and something to fit everybody. If you’re 16 or 90, there is something for you. The store is organized and easy to look through. The evening gown are just wow and the coats are fashionable, elegant, and most importantly; warm. I get all my shoes from here (hence the reason for my overflowing closet of shoes and boots) along with many of my other clothes. Everything is always affordable. Payless Dresses has everything from shoes/​boots to casual attire to work attire to winter gear to jewelry to handbags, the list just goes on! i have no idea what I would do without this place (definitely be less-​fashionable). The staff is kind, welcoming, and very helpful. It is by far the best store out there and is 110% worth a trip.

Not one single short poufy prom dress. Over an hour drive each way. This place came highly recommended. Nasty old man working there said the short poufy dresses not in style. Really??? No. Maybe 3 short dresses in the store. He said no short cocktail dresses. We could cut a long one. True but we wanted pouf. Also no designer labels at all even in long. Very disappointed.

If you are ever looking for a dress or coat this is the place. I been coming here for years anytime I need a dress for a wedding. They have other things as well but I never really find anything worth buying apart from coats and dresses. They get new merchandise every week so if you cant find what you are looking for don’t be discourage and just come back a week later. They are also really nice and encourage you to call them to find out when are they getting new stuff. The only negative is that there are no exchanges or refunds so make sure you try on what you are buying.

Reading the reviews I was so excited thinking Id find a dress .Bull crap I was so disappointed the dresses were ugly and some beaded dresses where falling apart total waste of time.

I’ve been coming here for years. I got my prom dress in 2002 from here. Back then the dresses were $ 69 and now they are $ 99 but come ON either price is a steal! This place is in the industrial area of Maspeth but its literally 2 blocks from the highway, Mcdonalds, and gas station so if you can’t find it I’m sure anyone in the area can point you there. Also you CAN’T return these dresses (once again for $ 99 is that so surprising)? So make sure you love it. They have a fairly good selection of sizes here but it’s hit or miss for certain styles. This is kind of like a warehouse type of space and yes they do have fitting rooms. Basically don’t go in there too picky and hope they have your size in a decent amount of dresses to your liking and you will most likely find something that suits you. For $ 99 it’s worth it even if you have to get a dress altered. These are legit prom, formal dresses in here. They also have a space with cheap clothes next door. Nothing I really like but hey I’ve seen ppl shop in there so you never know. Good look.

I have been going here for a long time. And when I say a long time, I mean a VERY long time; I started coming here with my mom when I couldn’t even walk yet. Time, after time, after time, this place doesn’t surprise me. A lot of clothes, for extremely cheap. On top of that, every once a week or so, they bring in new shipments. You can literally come in in a few days, and they will have completely different items, I love it! The only reason why I’m giving it 4 stars now instead of 5 is because I’ve noticed less clothes :(

I stumbled across this place getting lost after visiting a friend in Maspeth. You can really find some great deals on affordable designer jackets and coats. There is a huge variety to choose from. They have a separate section for formal dresses that I have browsed through but never purchased. I have purchased several coats for myself and family and never had a problem. I had to return a coat before because it was too small for my mom and had no problems getting a refund since I still had my receipt. They also sell other clothes mostly for women but I usually venture in to check out the outerwear selection.

I ended up finding the exact prom dress I wanted here for a fraction of the price, when the original place I was going to get it was 400 bucks, I ended up paying 60 for the exact same thing here!!!
Since then, I have been able to find alot of things like shoes and dresses for special occasions for low prices, and I know that I am getting great stuff. I have even compared prices still, and find that I am saving $$$.

I love this place. I stop by every time I’m on my way to the LIE. Parking around the block is fine. The merchandise is mostly designer mixed with department store (Macy’s) kind of stock. They have shoes and prom dresses, evening gowns, careerwear, sportswear and casual jeans, bebe t-​shirts, etc. The prices are great, can’t be beat. Mostly women’s wear, but some menswear.
