OH No ! Just got back from Adam’s Rib and was disappointed to learn that they are no longer in business. It is just a pizza and italian restaurant.

Rating is not based previous food or service. I loved the San Jose sandwich. So tasty and really, really good. The place has totally changed ownership. I walked past there tonight and there was a temporary sign over Mary’s Pizza & Adam’s Rib. It is now called Chef Boulevard Pizzeria. I wasn’t crazy about Mary’s Pizza regular slice(slice too thick and heavy) but they made a good Stromboli and potato slice. They even recently had 15 year anniversary signs in the window. I’ll continue to go to Gino’s in Massapequa Park for my pizza. I’m sorry to see Mary’s/Adam’s Rib go away but I won’t be experimenting with the new place. Gino’s is just that good!

My wife and I went to Adams Rib yesterday for dinner. We were looking forward to a great rib dinner. When we arrived the credit card machine was down so it was cash only. But the real shock was that the Adams Rib portion of the restaurant was CLOSED leaving us with only Marys Italian available. My wife was really disappointed but so the night was not a total loss I used my certificate to get a Sicilian pizza and ziti with meatballs. I tried the pizza wich was about average but nothing great. The wait-staff was friendlily and accommodating however the disappointment was still felt by us. They also told us the restaurant will be closing soon for renovation. I will check up on this restaurant again once it is reopened however without Adams Rib it will probably be just another Italian restaurant in a very competitive market.

First let me say I’ve been ordering at Adams for 10 years ., tonight I noticed a new crew, it must have changed hands, a guy with a big chain around his neck behind the counter with a smug look. So o order the once meaty delectable baby backs ½ rack, the only thing about the order was the price. The ribs had no meat, smaller amount, tough, not the great ribs of the past nor the ports toon, also they’ve cut the grilled vegetables with many cheap carrots, like I’m a goat or horse, it’s sad because after 10 years of spending thousands of dollars, I’m done. Hope they realize how stupid, and greedy they are, be cause I’m sure others feel the same way ! They destroyed a great rib business, and are losing a good customer with there flim flam new way, next they’ll ruin Mary’s pizza with the same behavior, soo sad to see Adams ribs go down. I’m sure others feel the same and will read this and get on the wagon and drop them like I did, the slaw and corn muffin are the same, so Adams rib rest in peace old friend for I got cheated shame on you if I gave it another chance, shame on me! The owner could interject or yeah prices are cheap kudos, another all american. Cheap low quality food tip raise the price and go back to quality oh and 4 ribs in not a half a rack! Charged more don’t scrimp and, give bones

Adams Rib is a great value with great food. Had BBQ Chicken, grilled chicken wrap on whole wheat pita plus salads and it was all great. PLUS hand-made home-style onion rings. Portions were big, even got complimentary bread, The owner is very nice. It is combined with Mary’s Pizza to make one big restaurant. So the menu ranges from BBQ, Chicken, Steak, Seafood, Pizza, etc. I intend to go back. And its a great value!

So. I knew when I had to say my order literally 3 times to the new girl that started there would be a problem. I requested delivery and a simple order of bbq’d chicken and bull bites. I get people are new, however, this girl needed significant training. I had her read back my order not once, but three times and every single time she got it wrong. I knew when it would be delivered something would be wrong. Well, it was delivered with fried chicken and none of the requested sides, so back it went! We tipped the delivery guy because it wasn’t his fault. We called to only speak to, what sounded like a 5 year old kid, who compensated nothing. We used to order all the time from them, but we are done now! What a shame

For some bewildering reason, the solution to a «Grilled Pete»(which is simply a $ 7.50 grilled cheese sandwich) made on a wrongfully ordered hero was to give me 2 slices of buttered Texas toast and grill it myself at home, and scrape off the melted American cheese and bacon from the wrong old bread and put it on the new correct bread. Rather than… y’know, remaking it properly and doing it for me and all. Like any other normal place would do. Never ordering here again. Horrible service.

Ordered crispy chicken sandwich for take out. They supposedly ran out of Texas bread(Friday evening at 7:30). Then said they found some. What I received was a sandwich made with one piece of Texas bread and one piece of a roll! The meat was supposed to be a battered and fried chicken cutlet. The so called piece of meat I got was an inedible small piece of shoe leather which bore no resemblance to a chicken cutlet. Should have gone back and demanded a refund. Will NEVER go here again. Too bad because this place used to be half way decent.

I waited 12 hours to write my review because I felt I needed to put my affairs in order if I didn’t survive the night. If someone suggests this place, a plea of justifiable homicide will be accepted in any court. If you value your life and the lives of your loved ones run in any direction away from this place. I would rather eat raw sewage or road kill, which is what I think they served, than another rib meal from this place. I can’t comment on the Italian food because we didn’t have any but to be fair, it seems they do a decent take out business with Italian meals. The only things edible were the bottled sodas and the MINI corn muffins. We met friends who strongly suggested this place; said they’ve eaten there seven times before and everyone they brought loved the ribs. Either these people never had a decent rib meal or their taste buds died years ago. Specifically, the cole slaw, as others reported is inedible either due to the dressing and/or the type of cabbage used; the rib sauce had to come from an off-brand bottle; the ribs — either baby back or St. Louis style tasted like cardboard, didn’t easily come off the bone and overly chewy; the onion rings were mostly grease; the baked beans tasted as if left out of the refrigerator for a few days; mac & cheese was a disaster — how could a supposed restaurant offering both southern and Italian menus screw up mac and cheese? Every seven year old can rip open a box of Kraft mac & cheese and cook it properly, it just boggles the mind something so simple to make this place screwed up. Smokin’ Al’s has nothing to worry about. For that matter, no rib place has to worry.

Bought. coupon and went for the first time. We had the pulled pork dinner with sides of coleslaw and fries. And the brisket dinner with corn and mashed potatoes, both came with corn muffins and a side of Mac n cheese. I was kind of indifferent about the food here. You got A Ton of it. Which is always nice. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t great. If you were having a BBQ craving this would be a cheap delivery option. The pulled pork and brisket were alright. The sides were disappointing. The mashed potatoes were terrible– out of a box. The Mac n cheese was flavorless. Coke slaw was fine. Fries were just ehhh. The corn muffin was very good. I’ll give them that. Anyway not sure I would rush back there with the coupon we got a ton of food for $ 25 which was a pretty good dinner

Stopped in with my girlfriend tonight. Ordered a 2 entrée combo with ribs, ½ chicken, mac and cheese, cornbread, coleslaw and corn. All for $ 20. The ribs were huge and the chicken portions were big as well. We totally got our moneys worth and the staff was very nice as well. It has some tables, but looks like more of a takeout restaurant. I will definitely go again, the food was good and you really get bang for your buck. =)

My family used to order from Adam’s here and there, but it’s not exactly our go-to when we order out. I went to watch the Islanders game at my buddy’s place this past Friday. A few people hadn’t eaten, so they placed an order at Adam’s. My mouth watered as they enjoyed ribs and the half chicken entrée. The next day, I recommended that we order from Adam’s Ribs. I tried to stay«healthy» by ordering the chicken sizzler entrée — grilled chicken covered with monterey jack cheese. My sides were the grilled veggies and corn on the cob. They give you A LOT of food — which should be the theme of most BBQ restaurants. For around $ 14 – 15, they gave three ~10 oz. pieces of grilled chicken smothered in cheese. The side of mixed vegetables included squash, zucchini, and other veggies in a teriyaki-style sauce. They had to give me about a quart-worth of veggies. They also give a delicious corn muffin! Overall, it’s a very good restaurant. You could easily split the chicken entrée between two people. My «healthy meal» quickly became an overabundance of calories. Oh well, chalk it up as a cheat day. Also, while I was in there picking up the food, the pizza smelt heavenly!

The food is nothing spectacular, but not to mention its a pizza place also.. A BBQ place that has the same dining room and kitchen as a pizza place. Don’t recommend it. If you want BBQ in the area, go to Smokin’ Al’s.

I’ve been ordering from Adams Rib for years. There’s enough on the menu to appease me but not everything is good. Although the fried chicken can be a little on the greasy side, it’s very tasty. The fries are always good, but the onion rings are hit or miss. The brisket has way too much sauce. The ribs are forgettable I always like the steak tidbits with mozzarella, but make sure they put it on a hero. They used to have a salad with slices of steak and crumbled blue cheese that was great, but I don’t think it’s on the menu anymore. The burgers are pretty good but they put them on stale kaiser rolls. They would be 1000% better with a fresh soft burger roll. The BEST thing about Adams Rib is the selection. Mary’s Pizza is in the same store so your kids can get a pizza and you can get the steak sandwich

This place was awful worst ribs I ever had. Dried out flavorless. Drenched In open pit brand cheap bbq sauce. Coleslaw was awful. The side of veggies I had were also drenched in open pit brand barbecue sauce. The cornbread was previously frozen and the Italian bread they have me was stale. The Waldorf salad was fine. Really really lousy. Avoid this place

One of the few places in Massapequa that delivers — the delivery is faster than the others — nice good homemade burgers — steak dishes are great. Pizza place next door is part of the business as far as I can tell. Good place!

This place was great when first opened — has been rolling down hill ever since. The dual menus between this and Mary’s are confusing, the place has lost it’s customer focus, and the food has lost its taste over time — I think from cheap ingredients. Non-starter in the park for take out or delivery.

This place used to be good. This time around the food was terrible. Chicken tasted like propane. The batter for the chicken strips & onion rings was tastless. Its called SALT. Wow. They had no St Louie ribs so we were stuck with BabyBack. They were just ok… Grilled veggies were so bland & if you are going to add carrots, pre boil them! They were like rocks. The cornbread was dry & they forgot the honey musterd. Never again. Damn you Tennesse Jedds for being closed on Mondays! Lol Ps. The owners are very nice but they need to review whats going on in that kitchen

When I moved to Massapequa Park almost year ago, Adam’s Rib was the first place I actually ordered out from and ate from. Granted, I have not sampled everything on the menu but I have sampled the ribs, pulled pork sandwich(on Texas toast and a Kaiser roll), steak salad and a variety of sides. All of which I found delectable and very tasty for a good comfort food fix! Yes, the«dining» area isn’t anything fancy– but what can you expect from a place with comfort food? The fact is, it’s great take-out or delivery, I don’t think it was ever really meant as a sit down, more like take it home and enjoy it behind closed doors! They do keep it nice and clean– and they are always busy which is a good sign to me! Pick-Up is always ready on time if not earlier and delivery was pretty speedy. That being said, the ribs have always been fall-off-the-bone cooked for me and covered in sauce. The pulled pork sandwich has plenty of sauce as well, and whether you get it on toast or a roll– it is PACKED with pulled pork! You better be hungry if you want more than half the sandwich! The steak salad is also a favorite of mine for a healthier choice. The steak isn’t chewy or tough at all, marinated deliciously(However there’s a little too much bleu cheese for my taste). It’s great for dinner or even to refrigerate overnight for a lunch tomorrow! Can’t wait to update with more food!(My first review! Woohoo!)

I just placed an order for delivery at this fine establishment and not only did my food arrive early, it was still hot and crispy! I ordered the crispy chicken sandwich and I must say of all the fried chicken sandwiches I have had in my day this one took the prize. Thick flaky batter over tender and moist chicken put together with lettuce tomato thousand island dressing on a bakery fresh bun! The meal was out of this world I could not be happier. Another fantastic item is their coleslaw, I can’t put my finger on it but it is perfectly made; perfect amounts of spice and not drenched in mayo like some diners. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in the mood for delicious home-style BBQ without the hassle of a messy kitchen
