I hate to do this but I was severely disappointed on my wedding day.
I’ll start with this, Nivia was fabulous and attentive and professional and I appreciated everything she did for me. But for the money I spent I was disappointed.
I paid $ 90 for my hair trial. $ 90 for a trial is absurd. It’s usually supposed to be about half of the price of the actual hair style and this was more. I was very happy with my trial and was so looking forward to my wedding day.
Planning the day was difficult. I spoke to 3 different people about 3 different times and I was getting very upset and stressed leading up to my big day. I finally convinced them to do the time I requested 3 days before my wedding.
Our hairdressers were promptly on time which I liked but things were a little hairy. My family and bridesmaids struggled to explain exactly what they wanted and some of their updos didn’t even compare to the photos shown.
As for me, I was immediately very pleased but my hair was beginning to fall apart shortly after we began taking pictures. It wasn’t windy. There were just not enough pins and my hair wasn’t done properly.
I had to have 3 different people add pins to my hair throughout my wedding and by the end of the night I gave up and let it fall out.
I was charged $ 140 for an updo that fell apart after an hour and a half of it being done. With tip I paid almost $ 200. I am beyond disappointed that I paid such a large amount to have to keep having other people fix it. It wasn’t done properly from the beginning.

Loved my entire experience here. I came after being referred by a friend and they did not disappoint. All the girls working were so nice. Kate did my cut and she did exactly what I asked and my blowout was perfect. I even booked my next appointment before I left!

The owner Jen has been my colorist for over 5 years I have followed her from salon to salon until she opened this amazing location! She has been doing hair for ten years and specializes in color! Kate has been doing my cut and blow outs for the last few months and shes amazing! Lyndsey has styled my hair for a few events and it came out perfect! Not only is this a salon but the junior stylist Nikki sells THE BEST JEWELRY! (She also gives great blow outs). Basically anyone you see is amazing.

Let’s say it’s been a long time since I got a haircut… a friend of mine recommended I go see Gina at Kevay Salon and WOW — I am a new woman!!! Seriously we cut about 8 inches off my head and I feel amazing!!! I felt at ease in her chair and I was not nervous about cutting off that much hair! Plus, when she washed my hair, she gave me a scalp massage that was off the charts perfect!
Cute little salon, right next door to Ciao Baby, parking can be nutty at times, prices are on point and not too crazy/​astronomical!
I’ll be back — I found my new salon and stylist for life!!!

Look no further for your hair styling needs! This salon has everything you could want! The salon is beautiful, clean, and is conveniently located on Sunrise Hwy in Massapequa. I have gone here plenty of times throughout this past year for many different services… haircuts, blowouts, extreme blowout, Brazilian keratin treatment, makeup and hair trial, and even my wedding day hair with my mom and bridesmaids. They made the morning of my wedding a wonderful experience! Jen, Erin, and the rest of the staff at Kevay Salon know how to keep you looking good and feel pampered while getting all your services. They offer all the current and trendy services to keep up with the styles that are popular. I recommend this salon to anyone who wants to look and feel good. I will forever be a customer and I look forward to going every time I have an appointment!

I had a completely terrible experience here last week.
1^st — I sat on the couch for 25mins past my schedule time and no one updated me that the colorist/​stylist was running late until nearly 30mins past my start time.
2^nd — I went in with my friend and had booked an ombré and a trim. Instead of getting an ombré, my hair was bleached nearly white with 2 inches of dark brown roots. There was no gradual color change and instead I had streaks of orange and white hair. My hair was bleached so bad that it was breaking off in the comb as she tried to blow-​dry my hair.
I have been getting my hair highlighted for 10+ years and have never had such a bad color experience. My hair is now so damaged that I can no longer use hot tools until it grows out, which is awful for someone who curls her hair nearly everyday.
I would NOT recommend this place at all. For $ 220 my hair looked like a skunk and is now completely damaged beyond repair… from about eye level down, half of my hair has broken off and now looks extremely stringy and thin. I have to now wait months to grow it out, then cut off the rest of the damage.
A terrible experience and I would NOT recommend!

I am someone who is ritualistic with her hair, I’ve had the same hair stylist for years and followed her to a few different salons. This location is awesome and the staff is super friendly! You can even use Ciao Baby valet for your car when you get your hair done there which is so awesome. Nivia gave me an awesome cut (as usual) and the styling she does is amazing, I like to go jn before a night out so my hair is on point! Thank you Nivia and Kevay salon :)

I found this salon through Unilocal.Erin cut my hair and did a good job. I got a wash, cut, and blow dry and it came to $ 55 + tip. If you’re a first time customer, mention their 20% promo before they ring you up. For your next visit, you can get 20% off if you book your next appt before you leave.

I came here for an appt. with Alyssa. The salon is brand new, and very nice. Alyssa did a great job on my highlights, haircut and blow out! I also received a 20% discount for being a new customer.

This is the best hair salon in the area, hands down! The staff here at Kevay is unbelievable! From the moment you walk through the door they make you feel welcome. They are all so friendly and genuinely nice! The owner (Jen) is always there and does a fabulous job with color! She is such a perfectionist and does my highlights perfect every time! I would never go to anyone else! Erin does a great job cutting my hair and always finishes my appointment with the most beautiful blow-​out! I recommend this place to all my family and friends! They do an amazing job every time. I always get so many compliments from people on my hair and my color! Don’t look anywhere else! These girls are awesome!
