Over crowded, staff is not attentive and does not follow up on anything, un-sanitary, only time you smelled the room clean was after the entire class of kids kept getting sick one after another. Would not recommend unless you want your child to be sick week after week

Went here twice with my 14 month old son interested in enrolling him or getting him on a wait list. I was taken on a tour but it seemed like they were just going through the motions to get me to leave. Left my name and contact info with the staff twice and never received a call back about enrollment. This was over three months ago. I understand sometimes there is a wait. But the staff didn’t seem interested at all in enrolling my son. We since enrolled our son at tutor time in Melville and they have been great. The staff is much more friendly there and the establishment is cleaner. Tutor time Massapequa may be fantastic. But I wouldn’t know. It would have been nice to get an honest answer such as «sorry we are not enrolling new students any time soon. «. Oh well.

My child attended Tutor Time and it was a hot and cold experience. I am a New York City public school teacher with over 10 years in early childhood education so I will post an honest review. The teachers are attentive, and overall, the young assistants mean well. They genuinely care about the children. With that said, the administration is poor. Now, my child has a strong personality, and admittedly, high energy. No, he doesn’t have any social disorders, no ADD, etc. Apparently this quality of character is unacceptable at Tutor Time of Massapequa. I waited quite some time to post this, because like other parents, you think«maybe he has issues that really do need special attention». We were told our son was«socially awkward with special needs» and«warrants the help of a Montessori learning environment». Now close to 2 years later, after much coarse correcting the damage Tutor Time has done, he is thriving with the personality of a natural leader. Why do I say ‘damage’? There are no consequences for any behaviors whether it is recognition or accountability for actions. One administrator actually said«we gave the 2 year old a choice of a different learning center or think center to deal with his emotional breakdown». Yes, this was a real statement. Needless to say, we were no longer welcome at Tutor Time. Six months later, our son was back on track, ahead of the curve socially and thriving scholastically after leaving Tutor Time(no Montessori school here!). Thank you Tutor Time for setting the example of what a learning environment for cultivating social and team interaction, while celebrating individuality, should not look like.
