The super market is really nice they have a great selection of everything you need. I could say one stop shop. I got there ones in the morning, on the right side they have breakfast area you can make any coffee with any flavor you would like. Very convenient with parking.

When me and my mom were in the area yesterday and needed to pick up groceries, we decided to stop at this Waldbaum’s as it was nearby and we find Waldbaum’s to be decent overall. Arriving at this Waldbaum’s, we found it to be very large in size, which was in keeping with the shopping center, which was on the larger side. Like other Waldbaum’s stores I have visited, I found this store to be clean and well maintained. Entering counter-clockwise, we found that the produce department with the deli and other food stations to the right looked very nice, with a wood-like laminate floor, decent lighting, and produce that looked good for the most part. In the middle of the store, you have your standard grocery aisles, which were well-stocked based on my observations and were bisected in the middle by floor space spanning from the produce area to the dairy area. There are also meat and seafood counters in the rear, but we did not use those. As far as pricing goes, I find the regular prices here to usually be on the pricier side compared to say, ShopRite, but I find that sale prices at Waldbaum’s can be competitive. For example, we bought gallons of Poland Spring water for .99(same as Shoprite and .10 less than Stop & Shop), Walden Farms Cole Slaw Dressing(I don’t use it but mom loves it!) which is normally $ 3.99 was on sale for $ 2.99, and 2 Tropicana Orange Juices for $ 6(on par with Shoprite and Stop & Shop). However, this Waldbaum’s proved to be pricey on bananas which were very good but pricey at .79/lb(.30 more than Stop & Shop, .20 more than Shoprite, and the same as Fairway and Whole Foods) and on Fresh Express Shreds shredded lettuce in an 8-ounce bag, which were $ 2.49(.50 more than Shoprite and Stop & Shop(*S&S price is for Dole Shredded Lettuce, which is comparable). Checking out, we found that Devon, our cashier, provided friendly and efficient service. While I would not normally use this Waldbaum’s as I do not live in the Massapequa area, I find that this is not a bad grocery option if you are in the area due to the cleanliness of the store, good produce, and good service, even though the regular prices on certain items are high.

It’s beautiful from the outside, but once you walk inside it is something much different. Staff is rude. On a handful of occasions when asking where something is I’ve gotten eyes rolled at me. Very unnecessary. More than once I’ve also bought things that were expired. And when I called or went into return I was given an attitude or called a liar. I avoid this place at all costs.

The place looks great from outside. Inside they have an extended supermarket area, which sells coffee, sandwiches, salads, bakery and seafood. This location is not as well lit or maintained as the location in Carle Place. Staff seems apathetic and not concerned with keeping the place well stocked or clean. Prices seemed a bit higher when compared to other local supermarkets. Today I saved 50 cents. :(

This is one of the nicer looking grocery stores in Massapequa. However looks can be deceiving. On many occasions there are no shopping carts available. I don’t know if they don’t have enough or don’t collect them from the lot quick enough. They also have no locations in the lot to put the carts when you are done with them. They often have items in their sales flyer that are not shown to be on sale in the store. If you don’t see it in the paper, you would never know that it is on sale. They do not honor their own coupons. The other day I attempted to buy Jarlesberg cheese using one of their coupons. The coupon clearly showed the rectagular loaf of Jarlesberg along with the bulk wedge of Jarlesberg. It even showed sliced cheese. They told me that it only applied to the bulk cheese. I got the manager and she would not honor the sale. Their isles are not marked with informative signs. You can wander for 30 minutes and pass the isle that you are looking for twice.
