Shoe Dept the

Have been to The Shoe Dept several times over the past few years. Their selection is great. The prices are reasonable. However, the service is hit or miss.
We went today to get my mom some shoes after her Mother’s Day lunch. We wandered all over the store finding several pairs she liked. But before we could continue she needed to use the restroom (which she has used in the store before) and the clerk would not let her go back. So we left the store, without the shoes.
Sometimes it’s all about the service. If there were a sign posted that said, «no public restroom» or she hadn’t used it before that would be one thing. But there wasn’t and she had.
I’m imagining we’ll go back in the future will just be sure to do so with an empty bladder.
