Place is outstanding. Went out to dinner for a special occasion and it was just that. Staff were helpful attentive and friendly. Table was ready as soon as we arrived. Food was absolutely delicious. The night was flawless. I would go there again in a heartbeat. I would recommend anytime. Looking forward to going back.

I’m skeptical of venues with the word«Grille» or «Grill» in them for their lackluster food and lack of ambience. Was I ever pleasantly surprised here. We landed at this restaurant while staying nearby passing through on our way between PA and New England. Wonderful experience all around — small venue feels slightly dressy and cozy — nice for some romance. Dinner was wonderful — well prepared and tasty.

Amazing place with a great atmosphere. Prices are typical. Must try the Peanut Butter Bacon burger and the Duck Fries! I enjoyed everything I got to nibble on and would recommend this place. It’s going to be my new go to place.

We just had my Mothers Wedding reception there, and it was fantastic! Food(Fresh rolls & butter, side salad, Chicken Francaise with mashed potatoes and steamed veggies) was excellent. Chicken was tender and moist, veggies moist and potatoes creamy. The building itself is very nice looking with great atmosphere inside. Service was prompt and quick with no delays to our schedule. Next time I visit my newly wed parents I’ll be stopping.

Food almost makes it to ok and service is just south of mediocre. There’s bound to be something better here. But I’m just passing through, so I’ll never know because I won’t stop here again.

Don’t see why people give this place more then 3 stars. We went believing this to be the best in the area. The place is not fancy, but in a renovated house. The décor is nice and modern. Went for dinner midweek last week and the service was good. The soups on special were excellent: baked potato and New England clam. The calamari appetizer was also good and we were hopeful that the entrees would deliver. The menu made everything sound good, but the dishes were nothing special and lacked pizzazz. The steak my husband had was sub par. My daughter had salmon that was nothing better than catering hall salmon with mashed potatoes that tasted great but were greasy and the broccoli looked like it was frozen. I had the monkfish special with rice and the same veggies. If you are not a fish person don’t try monkfish, the wild rice was good as was the sauce the fish was served with. As you get a decent salad with the entrée we were full and did not try dessert. Kid’s Mac n Cheese was large and tasty and homemade. But I didn’t find a reason to return. I still prefer Peter’s or the Waterwheel.

It’s always a delight to find a nice local restaurant while on a road trip. It sure beats having to dine at some tired chain restaurant. This place was only a couple of blocks from the hotel we stopped at on 6÷23÷15. It was a very pleasant surprise. Nice simple décor, a solid menu, good drinks, and an attentive waiter. I enjoyed the snapper special and my wife enjoyed her eggplant parmesan. We would definitely return in the unlikely event that we venture out that way again.

Just had the most awesome dinner experience there on a Saturday night(with 2 kids in tow). Our extremely competent, kind & friendly waitress, Tina, guided us in selecting the most awesome items on the menu. For the appetizer: the wasabi crab avocado cucumber roll, and for the main course: the prime rib. What lacks in décor makes up for in food, which was perfect and Tina was very attentive to us. There is no better place in town.

Stopped for dinner. Place was fairly crowded for a Tuesday night. Waited a bit to be seated and served but waitstaff was friendly. Ordered baby back ribs for $ 24. Ribs not very good. Had a strange barbecue sauce flavor. French fries were a curly twist type and we’re very good. Cole slaw was bad. Side salad was very good. Rolls and butter very fresh. Average experience

The BF and I stopped here for lunch(based on a random input from the ol’ GPS for nearby food) on a long drive back to Pittsburgh. The place is a bit funky: in a small office building, sparse décor, slightly dark and uninviting from the street. However, the waitstaff was very prompt and attentive. More importantly, the food was delicious, amply portioned and well priced. We split a butternut squash soup, I had the reuben, BF had a cuban. Beer and wine is a plus!

I was visiting my parents and wanted to take my daughter for a nice ‘date night’, dressed up and setting the expectations of how to be treated on a date. Two Rivers was recommended, so I called ahead explaining our ‘date night’ and reserving a table. WOW! My daughter and I were greeted at the door with a smile and escorted to our table, which was the only one set with a white table cloth and candle. My impression was that the atmosphere was typically more ‘laid back’, but the service was every bit of class and attentiveness that mirrored the expectations I attempt to set on a date with my girls. We started with the Fresh Mozzarella Caprese and I had the Truffled Mushroom Bisque, which was rich and delicious. Entrée Selections: Creamy Chicken and Forest Mushroom Risotto and Sautéed Scallop & Jumbo Shrimp Piccata w/Cavatelli Pasta… and again WOW! The rich and complex flavors that were represented in these fairly simple dishes really caught me off guard. I thoroughly enjoyed Two Rivers Grill from the moment we stepped in the door to the smiles and conversations we shared with the staff as we departed.

The atmosphere is a bit bright for my liking, dim the lights and it could be more comfortable and enticing. The service was great and the staff very courteous and well mannered. Caprese salad w/avacado, perfect presentation and freshness/flavor… From there the dishes decreased in quality throughout our night. Crab bisque, seemed like it was cooking for too long, not to mention a small piece of shell in nearly every bite. Salmon… fresh? Possibly, but I couldn’t tell since it was overcooked. So all the food was mediocre, nothing to rave about, nothing to complain about(except the crab shell pieces in the bisque.) I believe with a little more care and attention to the dishes this place could thrive, especially in that area. I will give it another try someday and hope to update this review with a very positive 2nd visit.

I am a local and I will say they have the best food in Pike, Orange Sullivan and surrounding counties. They have top notch service, always busy, and doesn’t matter what you order because its all good. The prices are very reasonable, very affordable. If you are in the area or looking to have great food and all please make your reservation. I try and go there at least 4 – 5 times a month

What a nice surprise. Didn’t think I would enjoy this place as much a s I did. The service is exceptional and the food is better than an over priced, high end restaurant in NYC. This is like finding a pearl in an oyster. I will definitely come again…

Overall it’s better than the diners that seem to be on every corner in this area. We visited for lunch — the service was sub-par and at times the wait staff was learning on counters, eating, and even sitting on the floor texting. The food wasn’t anything special but it was, again, better than the diners. The chili was barely warm, my hot tea was barely warm(had to ask for it to be microwaved)…and I don’t remember what I had to eat there. Underwhelming. I would try it for dinner if I’m ever back in the area.

I’ve come here on several occasions for breakfast and once for lunch. It’s a neat little surprise in my hometown! The food was delicious, service excellent, and best of all is that they’ve inaugurated a brand new bar as of this afternoon. I wanted to drink a beer with my breakfast this morning when I saw Dogfish Head 60 Minute IPA on tap. Although I didn’t get to go to the grand opening today, I will do so upon my next visit to town. It’s a lovely facility, very charmingly appointed and right on the main drag through town. I hope this establishment continues to flourish. It’s on the site of the old Kelly’s Bar and Grill… a most fond memory of growing up in Matamoras!

While I do not live in the area, I go out to see my Grandmother in Matamoras regularly. We go to lunch at Two Rivers nearly every time I visit. Been here for lunch probably two dozen times and twice for dinner. This place really is a little gem and is one of my favorites in the area, bar none. The atmosphere is warm and aesthetic is great, not flashy, but very comfortable. You could easily do a casual lunch or a business dinner there. The food is great, and moreover, it’s consistent. I have a couple favorites and after 4 years of going there, it is every bit as delicious as the first time. The wait staff is always very friendly and pleasant and we’ve never had an issue with the service we were provided. Prices are more then fair. If you find yourself in the area and looking for a great little place to have lunch, or even dinner, I’d definitely recommend Two Rivers!
