Food was very good and very fast. They have a good selection as well. I had stuffed salmon and it was delicious.

I stayed at the Hampton Inn in the adjacent parking lot. The food was surprisingly good. The staff was friendly and service was great. I was standing outside of the restaurant reviewing the menu while reading their reviews on Unilocal and the owner came out to greet me. I was a little apprehensive at 1st. But the service and food quality was more than I expected. Two thumbs up. Very affordable

The food was edible at most. I chose an Indian dish and my boyfriend got a Mexican burrito. My chana masala tasted nothing like traditional Indian food, and was so salty I had to send it back. The burrito was lousy. The service was good and the waitress was very friendly but the sanitation and lack of servsafe practices are questionable.

It’s not an Indian restaurant. Not a Greek restaurant. Not an Italian restaurant. It’s an EVERYTHING restaurant, and cannot be judged by the criteria of any particular ethnic restaurant. Go to this restaurant when you want some of everything. Everything there is delicious. Delicious food. Unique dining experience. Unpretentious staff and cheezy decorations.

Usually a restaurant with a huge menu that tries to have something for everyone is awful. This is a rare exception. I pretty much stick to the Indian selections when I’m here and I have never been disappointed. The Mulligatawny, The Curries, spot on! You should dine here often to support this treasure… we NEED some ethnic food options in our Tri-State Area!

The food is okay but the service is lousy. My Fiancé and I went there for dinner one night and had the worst experience. Apparently they were short handed wait staff that night. Everything from water to food was a long wait. Ironically they sat us close to the kitchen so you would have thought that we would have been served quicker. I like the guy that runs the place but I have no desire to eat there again.

They have a variety of different foods: Indian, Italian… Since they specialize in so many areas, the quality goes down. My eggplant parm was below average, my husband could not eat his cup of soup. The service was friendly. Therefore, I gave them #*.

Three times here, and the food and service remain consistently outstanding. We decided to splurge a bit since it was my birthday(good indication as to how much I like this restaurant), and each had two items from the menu. We both had gyros, one lamb, and one chicken; they were both outstanding. Next up was my Chicken Tandoori wrap which is my «regular» item there(it’s so good, I can’t pass it up), and my partner’s Jambalaya Wrap, which was also delicious. It turns out that the chef there has trained in cooking the many ethnic foods that they serve, hence the superb results. Looking forward to our next visit.

This place is local for me, and to be fair, I havent tried the Indian food, but they somehow managed to screw up mozzarella sticks, french onion soup and a chicken ceaser salad. The food looked and tasted like it was prepared out of a freezer. The soup tasted like water with a floating piece of bread. The other customers seemed like this was a big night out and some were very loud and rude. On a plus side the staff was really trying hard. I won’t be back.

I have ordered several different items here, both American cuisine and Indian food and have enjoyed it all. . no complaints here. My ultimate favorite is the Seafood Jambalaya. . Yanni is a wonderful host and makes you feel like he’s catering just to you. I have never had a bad meal and feel the priced are very reasonable.

This is an… interesting restaurant. The food isn’t bad, but it also might not be what you expect. It tries to «do everything» but doesn’t do anything that well. For example, I ordered chicken tikka masala. What I got was tasty, but only looked like chicken tikka masala. Good garlic bread appatizers, though. Kind of annoyed you have to pay so much for naan.

Unfortunately, too many eateries strive for quantity over quality and miss the opportunity to focus on a few truly amazing dishes. I understand that more choice will attract more people, but with so many established Diners doing that already the risk of not doing it well enough is substantial. The Pizza House Family Restaurant in Westfall, PA tried to mix things up by being a pizzeria and essentially a diner at the same time, but the food was forgettable in both areas. It went through a rough patch in 2006 where it changed management a few times and eventually closed. One of the former chefs, Mohammed Jahangir, bought the property and opened up Yanni’s World Delight in its place but, like an abused child, is making the same mistakes that made its’ parent a failure. Hoo boy, did I call this correctly. Yanni’s has a huge menu similar to that of a diner’s, but with a Pizzeria, Mexican food, and Indian sub-genres in nearly all of the standard food categories: Indian breakfast, appetizers, salads, lunches, and dinners. It lacks identity, but I can see that he’s trying to sell his(probably delicious) Indian food while also accommodating people who aren’t so adventurous– which is commendable. Unfortunately, the«regular» food is just ok. It isn’t bad, but not particularly good either — just as forgettable as the Pizza House before it. Unfortunately, the restaurants are identical except for the Indian food, even down to the décor and questionable service. The bit of Indian food I tried was pretty good, actually! Our appetizer was a plate of specialty-battered pieces of chicken with a cucumber sauce. The batter had a touch of curry that made it unique and the easily the best part of the meal. In retrospect, I really wish I had tried an Indian dish rather than Chicken Souvlaki, but that’s just what I was in the mood for. It was good, but not great. My Dad got a chili burger and came to the same conclusion. The french fries were killed with oil and I suspect that tonight my haunted arteries will scream at me in my dreams. Our waitress, more than the food, is the reason I won’t be returning. I would have liked to try the other Indian food, but she gave me an upset stomach. We saw her sitting outside smoking a cigarette when we walked in, and she followed us into the otherwise empty restaurant. She invited us to sit wherever, and treated us to a sob story of how slow and boring the day has been so far. I overheard her doing the same thing later on when other guests came in to eat, and I wish I could say I was floored by the lack of professionalism, but I already had the vibe that only have half a shit. I love friendly and engaging wait-staff, but I hate to hear about how terrible a place is from my host. That tells me all I need to know. If the place was empty, I would at least expect her to refill my iced tea with more of the same instead of a Sprite, but I suppose I just get what I get. I suppose she could have occupied her time by reading the daily specials to the elderly man who had trouble seeing, but she explained to us that she«didn’t have the time» as he left without ordering food, right when we paid our check. Paying the check also gave her the opportunity to regale us with the tale of her regular customer who comes in just to yell at her and make her unhappy. Somehow, I think she deserves it. This was not a young girl who didn’t know any better, either; this was a a woman in her mid-40’s who claimed to have been waitressing for the past 20 years and is getting tired of it. K-Mart is right at the other end of the parking lot, ma’am. I’m sure they’ll love you over there. I returned home and astonishingly Yanni’s has a website which provides a portion of the menu and his vision for what he’d like the restaurant to be: «To some proprietors, the people eating in their restaurants are customers. But here, you are a friend. When you come into my restaurant, the first thing I do is make you a friend for life.» Sadly, no friendships were forged today. I really wish he would focus on his Indian cuisine because that sort of things is definitely under-represented in the area and could potentially be something great. The jack of all trades is often the master of none.

DW and I were looking for something a little different from the norm and also looking to support small business Saturday :-) My parents had mentioned this new«Indian» restaurant that had opened in the KMart plaza in Matamoras. DW loves her blue light specials so we thought we’d do a two-fer. So this place would be a prime candidate for Gordon Ramsey’s Kitchen Nightmares… It’s difficult to tell what this restaurant is going for. First of all it’s situated in a strip mall and it has a diner like feel when you walk through the door. There is a little bit of everything on the menu. From Breakfast to burgers, and everything in between. Italian, Greek, Indian, hence the name of the place«World Delight. We went for Indian so that is what we stuck with. We shared Cheese Pakora for our App, DW and I both went with chicken Tikka Marsala for our meal and a couple of pieces of Garlic Naan on the side. The food was tasty. Naan was maybe a little bit overdone. I really think this place wants to be an Indian restaurant but they probably fear(with good measure) surviving on Indian alone in Matamoras. Saffron in Middletown is by far still my fave Indian restaurant in the Metro NYC area. There isn’t much selection in the Matamoras area so I’d give this a shot if your in the area.
