We went here for dinner tonight. I ordered sliced turkey and gravy, one of the specials. The turkey had an «off» smell and taste, quite nauseating to be honest. I told our server, who«passed along» my comment to the chef. They didn’t offer to take it off our bill or swap out another dish instead. We are regulars here, by the way. I’m sorry but good customer service means doing right by your customers. Needless to say it will be a long time before we go back.

i’ve always liked their breakfasts — inexpensive and good… and i finally tried their dinners… reasonably priced, big portions, and delicious… a rather good alternative to the always busy and very expensive Park Place Diner…

Overall good diner for a good price. Large selection of food. We ordered penne w vodka w chicken and chicken stir fry. Service was good, always had our glasses topped off. A better stop than most diners in the area. Would recommend.

Great little diner for breakfast, lunch or dinner. They have many reasonably priced dinner specials. I miss the old relish tray from the old owners but times have changed.

The service was great and friendly food was great I had the hungry man. Choice of pancakes, french toast or waffle. Then 2 eggs bacon ham and sausage for less the 9 bucks.

Sitting here waiting for Mexican breakfast wrap. I’ve been coming here for years and I can definitely recommend this place for all meals! The staff couldn’t be any nicer and the food is great! For lunch I recommend the BLT(something about the bacon and the way it’s cooked is just too good, it’s sinful) and for dinner I recommend the salmon, the sourdough sandwiches with a side of waffle fries(best fries in town). Hope this place continues to do well. This is the only diner that I’ll eat at. Worth every penny.

Excellent food, some of the best in Jersey, as someone who has actually been in the restaurant business for years and years, I can tell you this diner is the best value For your dollar both in your pocket and on your plate. Highly recommended

I give this place 5 stars for the amazing service and delicious food ! The club melt on sour dough bread was simply amazing. The turkey meat was unprocessed and produce was fresh. We also ordered a side of onion rings, which were crisped to perfection! The waitresses were friendly, and make your dining experience one of a kind. I definitely recommend this place to grab a quick meal or have a large family dinner. I am eager to come back and try the breakfast specials.

I pegged this place as just a place to stop if all other places nearby have a long wait time for lunch or supper. I think less of it now. I found myself in that situation 2 times so far. The first time I was there I just got a hamburger deluxe. Service was friendly and pretty much on top of things. Now the food was less than good. The hamburger was undercooked for a medium rare. It was blood rare once I bit into it. If I am getting food from a known source, I will likely order beef rare. I probably should have sent this burger back back but I didn’t. My afterthought about the burger was that it most likely frozen and wasn’t from local sources. It didn’t make me sick so I was happy about that. The roll it was on was crumbly and falling apart. I don’t know what the story was on that, but I suggest you order a hard roll if you get the burger. Today I dropped in for breakfast because of a long wait time at my preferred place. When I got there, only a few tables were filled. We almost immediately served water and the waitress came over for a coffee order. While going over the menu, I saw that the«breakfast special» was only Monday through Friday. I thought it was odd that a place getting overflow traffic would exclude the special on a day when overflow traffic was likely. After ordering eggs, bacon, home fries and toast. quite a few customers came in. I happened to over hear orders at 3 surrounding tables. All three tables asked for the breakfast special. She had to tell them that the special was only on non-holiday weekdays. At least I read that on the menu before she had to tell me the special was not available. Once breakfast came, it was just fair. Eggs were small but cooked as requested. Home fries were pretty much tasteless. Toast came with a single serving size jelly. If you use the jelly or not, I normally find a selection of assorted jelly servings on the table. The highlight was the coffee. It wasn’t bad. When we requested the check, we had a ten minute wait before a check came. The overflow crowd could not be handled well by the staff. While waiting for the check, I noticed how spotted and dirty the wall was above my shoulder. When the check came it was for a different table. We couldn’t get the attention of our server, but the hostess who had her eyes on our table came over and got us the correct check. I don’t expect to be back, but I didn’t plan to be here this time. Just my opinion, hope your experience is better. 7÷21÷15 just my luck I am with people that wanted to come here. The first thing I noticed was what looked like the same splatter on the walls that was there 4 months ago. The splatter is above the shelf that is at shoulder level. The shelf and plants are not as dusty. I guess the wall is out of reach. As far as breakfast food is the same. Small eggs, tasteless home fries and no name ketchup. The ketchup isn’t bad.

I usually only trust diners that stand alone and aren’t a part of a shopping mall, but this one has made me rethink that. Out of the 3 times I’ve been here in the last month the food and service has been great. Whether it be a Corned Beef on Rye, Challah French Toast, or the incredibly huge Town Square Chicken Sandwich, you seemingly can’t go wrong. I’m not sure why all these other reviewers were unhappy as this place is pretty affordable. To each his own.

Don’t recommend it. I came with my boyfriend on a weekend morning. Ordered some type of hungry man special. I asked for cheese with my scrambled eggs and they came out with literally two square pieces of kraft barely melted laid on top. He got some type of omelet with home fries that he wasn’t crazy about either. There’s an amazing diner across the street so why go here when you can go there instead?

I love their breakfast. As someone said before, the breakfast is huge. I learned to let my 6 yr old and 3 yr old share one. I had their chicken pot pie and it was very good. The fried seafood platter was good as well. The place is clean and the staff very friendly. They are very accommodating.

I stopped in today and noticed one of my favorite dishes on the«Specials» menu. Seafood paella. so I had to order!!! I eat here often and once again they did not miss a beat! From the service to the food. A+++!! The paella was hot throughout my entire meal. loaded with tons of scallops, shrimp, salmon, crabmeat, calamari, and mussels. everything you could want! And everything is ALWAYS fresh!!! I am so happy to have finally found a place where I KNOW I can go and enjoy great food and pleasant people! I recommend this diner to EVERYONE! Please go check it out!!! Great prices too! Can’t wait to try out a new dish next time!

Was very disappointed in our breakfast here this morning for many reasons. 1) food was mediocre 2) horribly overpriced 3) no children’s menu 4) inconsiderate service staff We’re a family of four, and our children are 7&2… when we realized there wasn’t a children’s menu, I ordered them 2 orders of french toast, and 2 orders of Greek yogurt — when it all came I almost fell on the floor — big portions are appreciated, but it would’ve been nice for the server to suggest that maybe they could share because their portions would feed the whole table. I literally ended up with a full quart of yogurt to take home because they couldn’t have eaten all the yogurt if their little lives depended on it… but it literally cost us $ 17! My husband got an omelette, home fries, pancakes & toast. I had toast and sausage(ugh…it was gross), and our check was $ 56!!! FORBREAKFASTAND I DIDN’T EVENHAVE A MEAL!!! Absurd. I will say in their defense that when I complained about the lack of consideration, and integrity they took one of the orders of french toast off my check — that brought it down to $ 48…I still didn’t feel good about paying over $ 50 for breakfast when I didn’t even order four full meals.

I had dinner there last night. My chicken wrap was so dry it was supposed to have ranch dressing on it yet I choked it down because there was none to speak of. The bacon was over cooked and almost burned which ruins the whole point of bacon. The lettuce was brown and wilted and my waffle fries were nice and crispy yet when you bit into them you got a mouth full of grease. I’m not exaggerating at all. I used to eat at this diner when it was the Aberdeen Diner. Ever since it changed hands everything has gone down hill. I don’t even go to that shopping center anymore. Livotti’s, Deninno’s & now Town Square are catering to the Staten Island transplants. There are still natives left in the area. Remember that. Town Square doesn’t even know what a Jersey burger is!

I had a great lunch this Sunday at the Town Square Diner. I had the arugula and fennel salad with grilled salmon — The salad comes with goat cheese but I asked to replace that with feta — and they were very accommodating. My Mother-in-law had the cheeseburger deluxe and it was prepared to a perfect medium rare. The wait staff was not only accommodating but fast and did not hesitate to check on how we were doing. As the portions are huge — we did not have room for dessert — which all looked delicious — but will most certainly make room on my next visit.

This is def one of the best quality diners around. The atmosphere is very nice and updated. Everything is very clean! The service was fast and everyone is very friendly and on top of all coffee/soda/water refills. We got the French onion soup Nd wings for appetizers and they were both very good. I asked the waitress to kinda customize my veggie burger by putting it in a wrap and pressing it like a panini! It came out fantastic! My boyfriend got a burger and he loved it! We will def be back!

Terrible pancakes. Way overpriced. Nice staff but slow service. Okay food but not worth the price.
