Mike’s Shoe Repair

I’ve been buying more and more leather and suede shoes recently (trying to be stylish), but I soon realized that they need to be taken care of. Driving through Mattapan, I saw Mike’s and figured I might as well have my suede shoes looked at since they were getting really dirty. I dropped my shoes off and a few days later they were ready for pick up. They cleaned the suede, recolored the soles, and waterproofed them. They legitimately looked brand new. I brought two more pairs over and had them cleaned as well. Amazing job. It’s very clear that these guys have a lot of experience. Looks to be a family affair. I wouldn’t call the store’s upkeep amazing, but the new owners (I think they said new as of a month ago?) appear to be doing a lot to get everything refreshed and in order. Lots of cleaning going on, a new sign, etc. They also sell leather goods and accessories like belts, wallets, etc, some of which are handmade right in the shop! I’ll think twice before I throw out a pair of shoes that I think are too far gone. This place is great.

They are a wonderful pillar in our community! Been around since I was a child, and now I take my children with me when I go to get things repaired. Very prompt on service and reasonably priced. Very worth the trip!
