G,A. Jacobs Flooring

Word to the wise… do not hire G.A. Jacobs! I hired Gerry Jacobs last January to install hardwood floors in 2 rooms of my house. He requested a deposit of $ 1400, which I paid him on January 22. From that day on, I had to chase after him to do the job and half the time, he did not even respond to my phone calls. I listened to one excuse after another. After much badgering and a zillion phone calls, Mr. Jacobs finally arrived on APRIL 6 (over 2 months later!!!), but all he did was tear out the existing carpets leaving me with a mess. He made one promise after another about getting the job done. Again, after many phone calls he showed up 4 days later and partially laid flooring in one of my rooms and took off again. The flooring was suppose to match the existing flooring, but Mr. Jacobs installed red oak floors instead of white oak. I fired him and had someone else do the job. Wish I never made contact with Mr. Jacobs. He’s a dishonest man. He made promises he didn’t keep and not only took my money but waster a great deal of my time.
