What a pleasant stay on our visit to Mattapoisett. We stayed in the Sail Loft room and enjoyed wonderful views of the harbor, a big old four post bed, a real taste of old New England, for sure. I believe this B&B is a restored old boat house. The owner/proprietor Deanne did an amazing job with the renovations and conversion. Breakfast was served in the morning and enjoyed with the other guests who were staying there as well — it was so fun. It was like old friends hanging out. Very cool. Everyone in town is very friendly. A few doors down is a pub with good food and cocktails. If you’re passing through the area stay at the Mattapoisett Inn. You’ll be glad you did. We’ll return before too long, I’m sure.

We stayed at The Mattapoisett Inn on a blustery March weekend and still fell in love with the Inn, its amenities and with the locale. Our family was running a half marathon in New Bedford but wanted a little pampering as well We booked two fantastic rooms at the Inn and were served a gourmand’s breakfast as part of our stay. Deanne was warm and helpful but not overly extroverted as Inn keepers can be. The younger set had all the acess to wi fi that they needed to keep their various«screens» running. The Mattapoisett water front locale was both beautifully relaxing and quaint. All of us commented that we hope to return and would recommend it to our friends. Suzan
