I have been to Cody Kresta many time and have always had great service. The people are all very friendly and the wine is great. I love all the different items they have I their shop. I recently had a private party there and it was one of the best experiences I have ever had. I highly recommend that you try it if you haven’t yet.

We recently gathered with high school friends at Cody Kresta — enjoyed tasting delicious wines(try their Tradition) in a beautiful spot. Great hospitality by Mary Lou & Dave Butkovich! The tasting house and outdoor patio are outstanding.

I have been to Cody Kresta many times and have brought all of my out of town friends and family. However, this past Saturday the staff was extremely rude and I will now not be back. Every time I go we have been charged $ 5.00 for 6 wine tastings. Just because we were a «bachelorette party» they charged us $ 10.00 plus tax. We had about 15 people(4 of which were our moms in their 50’s). We were treated like dirt the entire time by both of the blonde ladies. The only server that was nice to us was Kristi Burk. Our group had reservations for months, and just because we showed up with 1 or 2 extra people they were mad about it. Since when do you complain that you made $ 150.00 in an hour? We sat outside and moved a table so all of us could sit next to each other and our server said, «I really hope you are planning on moving that back when your done». I have been a server before and I would never say that to a customer. The bride moved out of the sun because she was getting sun burnt and didn’t want tan lines for her wedding this weekend, and our server said«you really need to stop playing musical chairs on me.» Due to the fact that we were charged twice the amount and treated like we were children I will not be coming back. To make almost $ 11.00 off each customer and to be mad that we showed up with maybe one extra person then what the reservation was for, is extremely rude and unheard of. I live right down the street and I am very disappointed. Kristi is great, however her two co workers ruined the experience for us.

Perhaps the best wine being made in Southwest Michigan. Predominantly dry wines with some creativity in winemaking. The tasting room is large enough to handle quite a bit of people and the service is very good. Although it can be a bit hard to find, due to local ordinance regarding signage, it is well worth the visit. They do pour wines by the glass, and whether you’re inside or sitting on the patio outside, it is a great atmosphere, with a welcoming vibe. The dry whites(e.g. Chardonnay) and dry reds(e.g. Tri Vigna and Cetiri) are well made and fairly priced by the glass. NOTE: like most of the wines you’ll find in West Michigan, the best wines are not priced as competitively as similar wines from other regions/countries. But, drinking local has it’s advantages. This is great stop if you’re in the area.

Loved the patio!!! It has an amazing patio and a great wine collection. The ladies at the winery were really helpful and accomodating. The wines are reasonably priced and the ambience is wonderful. I would be back for sure.

Wine by the glass or a sample of 6 wines for $ 5. The biggest disappointment is the sample size. Each sample is .5 ounces which makes it very difficult to really experience the full taste of the wine. From what I tasted it was very well crafted. In fact, if the sample was 1 to 1.5 ounces, my rating would be 5. Very small tasting area(two tables and a 8 foot bar); very classic. Outdoor patio is beautiful with a fountain. They don’t make very sweet wine so don’t expect overly sweet. Make sure to try the vignoles and the peach. Worth a visit, just don’t expect large pours. Tasting room staff are decent. Not overly helpful; they are fast and check back frequently.

Went here in the dead of winter a couple of weeks ago and my friend and I were the only patrons there. They have a good selection of wines to try and the lady who helped us that day was extremely friendly and personable! While I wasn’t a big fan of their reds, I did like their blueberry wine(made from MI berries) which was quite dry(I liked that!) and unlike any other berry wines(which normally taste like juice to me). Their ice wine was one of my favorites! It had a delicious burnt honey after note. Overall, I think their chardonnay was the best of what I tried. I’ll definitely come back and visit during the summer/fall time as their property looks cute even when its buried in the snow!

Beautiful place, great wine and incredible staff. This place is very under-recognized. I had no idea we had a winery that makes such great wine so close to home. This wine puts St. Julian to shame.

This is by far my favorite winery on the SW Trail, great wines, very friendly staff and the patio in the rear of the building is one of a kind with a flowing stream complete with great plants and occasional wildlife. The owner Doug is one of the nicest and genuine people you will ever meet. Just by his attitude you can tell his heart is in the wines!

Really cool place with great wines! My parents, husband, and I came yesterday for a wine tasting and it was excellent. They have about two dozen white and red wines to choose from… For $ 5 you get a tasting of 8 wines. If you purchase a bottle, the tasting fee is waved. It is not difficult to find a wine(or two or three or more) that you may fall in love with and want to purchase! While I didn’t try it, they have a cheese plate available for purchase. They also have a different food sample available everyday to try. The day we were there they had an almond cake. We didn’t try it, but heard it was outstanding. The entrance/lobby/wine tasting area has a lot of neat wine accessories for purchase. I have to give a BIG shout out to Leslie. She was OUTSTANDING! Very knowledgeable, personable, kind and fun. While the wine is great, she really made the trip wonderful!!! It’s not all that hard to find. It’s right off of 27th St. There’s plenty of signage! Worth a trip to visit a smaller(and hopefully up and coming) winery!!!

the wines are marvelous. Good as the best in USA. Michigan is catching up fast and you show the way. Thank you, my mouth thanks you, and my doctor thanks you. Wine every day is good.

We went for the first time the weekend after opening, and CK has turned into our favorite SWMI winery. Really good wines, beautiful tasting and retail room decorated by our favorite Leslie, and simply a great place to visit, taste, and fill your cellar. We began as white drinkers, but boy, the Cab Franc is so good, both the reserve, and the«lesser» Franc. Delicious! We really likethe Pinot Gris, and it is so different as a sipping wine, and paired with food. We attended Dinner With the Winemake last Friday and had a delicious Med dinner paired with an endless fill of 8 wines chosen by the staff. It was a wonderful evening of making new friends, learning about the wines from Dave, and rounding out our collection. This is definitely a place to visit. It’s small, intimate and an absolute winner.

This place is pretty adorable. They have only been open for a year but apparently the proprietor has been making wine for 15+ years. The landscaping is beautiful and welcoming. The tasting room is small-ish and only set up to help a handful of people at a time. You pay $ 5 for a taste of 6 – 7 wines, and the fee is waived if you purchase a bottle. The employees are very pleasant and helpful and the there will probably be about 16 wines from which to choose when you go. It is hard for me to comment on the quality of the wine because I am not very knowledgeable about the stuff, but I had several which I enjoyed and you will most likely want to buy a bottle. I am giving this place 5 stars because you have to consider that this is a local Southwest Michigan winery. If you have realistic expectations then this is probably the best wine tasting experience available in the area. Enjoyable wine, fair pricing, pleasant employees, and a beautiful setting. They also host private parties and I think it could be excellent for that use. The patio outside is large and very attractive, with a babbling brook!

The place is fairly difficult to find, but yes, GPS(and the event signs) helped. I keep coming back to the word«adorable» to describe this winery. When we arrived, I couldn’t help but snapping pictures and felt I’d be doing everyone a disservice if I didn’t share them on Unilocal. The landscaping is really well done which starts the wine tasting out right. We were welcomed as soon as we walked in. You check off six to seven wines to try, and they were excellent at giving recommendations based on what kinds of wine we said we liked. To be completely honest, I was waffling between four and five stars. On one hand, the wine wasn’t particularly spectacular. On the other, it still tasted good, and I don’t have a single negative thing to say. I ended up going with five stars because the whole experience was so completely enjoyable, and I would highly recommend this place to anyone. It’s $ 5/person to taste(and an extra $ 5 if you try the ice wine), but these will go toward any wine purchases you make. Tip: the extra $ 5 for the ice wine is totally worth it. I love ice wine.

My first Unilocal review… Went to this winery this fall. It is off the beaten track and they have zoning issues with signage, so it is a little tricky to find. A GPS is very useful, but even as you arrive, it doesn’t look right. It looks like someone’s very well cared for home. But there is a sign in the front yard so we stopped. It was late in the afternoon and we had the tasting room to ourselves, and it is beautiful! Very rustic and charming. We got to meet the owner, David(?) who was very personable and proud of his endeavor. He offer to let us try an as yet unnamed blend he was working on. More work is needed, but it is unique. The wines, are mostly whites. One, the Traminelle we particularly liked. If you are in the area, or up for a trip, it is worth a stop if you like small wineries and personal attention. We’ll be back
