I have to totally agree with Judith. In a a mall where there aren’t a lot of interesting things remaining, and has sadly been hit hard by the closure of several anchors over the years, plus making disappointing decisons(first Ward’s, JCPenney(never mind they reopened outside the mall later), not to mention more recently losing both Old Navy and Sears, and foolishly half demolishing the former Ward’s and Penney’s). It’s a breath of fresh air to see at least a few stores still trying hard in this struggling mall, to survive(also kudos to the Dairy King here, that went independent from DQ). I wish I could’ve checked out this store longer, since this store is absolutely amazing for a mall bookstore, and GREATLY exceeded my expectations. Plus amazingly friendly staff, of the ones I encountered while I browsed here. If you ever are in this area(never mind most will likely never see Lincoln Mall, nor be passing through Matteson), walk into the 2nd floor of the mall just east of Carson’s, and check it out! Edit: I’m gonna be a little honest after I thought a little more about it, and give it 4 stars. Only because I didn’t check certain aspects as to how decent they were before I left(i.e. magazine selection, and the selection in certain depts.). But as far as mall-based bookstores go, it’s still amazing, and definitely worth checking out in case you’re ever in this area.
