I’m from out-​of-​state, traveling for work, and this hands down, is the worst establishment I’ve EVER been to. The bartenders don’t know how to pour a black & tan, pour a beer without 6 inches of head, make a jäger bomb, make a lemon drop, take an order correctly, or provide timely service. They are also out of 50% of the beers they have on tap. I was stupid enough to come back a second time and it took about 10 minutes for our server to even come to our table. About another 10 – 15 minutes to get our drinks. And finally, another 15 – 20 minutes to get out meals. I am a very fair person & do not complain often, but this was just unacceptable. Management needs a serious kick in their ass. look at all the other reviews if you don’t believe me. DO NOT COME HERE!!!

This used to be our favorite spot in the south suburbs. However after a change in management and staff the thrill is gone. The service (at the bar) sucks now. The whole atmosphere is crap now. The half priced Thursday isn’t even worth it. I’d rather pay full price at an establishment that values it’s customers and their loyalty. I’m actually posting this while sitting at the bar for the last time!

Mature guests… Good food, good music, modern updates, and lots of TV’s. I really enjoyed myself, my friends enjoyed their food. Only down side was they didn’t sale pitchers of beer on Saturday!

I used to come here all the time. Service was always accomodating to larger parties. Prices were always high. $ 13+ for a martini. $ 7.50 for a blue moon.
My last visit was why I will not return. Our server was nice, but she was slow. Her manager was extremely rude to our party so we left after 1 round of drinks. They add gratuity to all checks after 9pm. They enhance security too. Dj was supposed to start at 9. He was outside flirting/​smoking cigarettes at wasn’t even set up at 10. Unless you are a guest at the hotel and don’t feel like driving, I don’t recommend this location.

I walked in for lunch no one greeted me after I stood there for 6mins. I walked to the bar to place an order the bartender completely ignored me. I walked out why should I spend my money at a establishment like this

2nd night and service was just as bad if not worse. $ 1.25 beers and we got charged $ 4.50. Then we asked for the beer to be charged seperate, which she did, but then when she swiped our cards she just added the 2 together again. We can’t turn in recipts with alcohol so we got kind of screwed.

Been to a lot of Bar Louies. Usually very good. Tonight, not so much. The service sucked. Waited for 5 minutes to be waited on at the bar. I ordered a simple tap beer and requested to order food to go. Waited 5 minutes to get the beer and another 20 to actually order. Ordered another beer because it took 39 minutes for my order only to find out that they didn’t «understand» my order in the kitchen. After an hour my order finally showed up and I asked to settle my bill. Waited another 20 minutes and left the food and walked out. Didn’t even seen that busy… too bad. Maybe just an off night.

Love this place. I come here a lot after school w friends and coworkers. Friendliest staff around. They make you feel at home. They even remember your «usual» drink. They serve you in a timely fashion. Love the atmosphere. It’s a clean place and Thursday’s are great days to go because it’s half off!

Worst service. I went here a few times but my last was my last time! The lite skinned bartender (really big teeth) was very rude and to us and I realized it must’ve just been us. It was me and two of my friends and she was snubbing us all night while laughing in some guys face. Plus she talked to me like I can’t afford to drink there. Very unprofessional. Nobody looked like they wanted to be there. It used to be a fun environment, now. Terrible. Oh and my nachos were cold.

I would give this piece a no star, but I wouldn’t be able to post. Never ever ever ever ever order food from Bar Louie in Matteson. I ordered my food in the first quarter of the Bulls/​Golden State game and NEVER got it. Come to find out, she never put the order in. Then the manager gives me a coupon for one free meal. If you can’t order the none free meal, what the hell makes me think you’re going to order the free one? Totally inexcusable. I will NEVER order food from this place again. #pissedoff #becauseiamstillhungry

Terrible, Terrible, Terrible, Service Never again will We be returning to this location! We placed our order at 6:06 we didn’t receive our order until 6:50 we told the Manager @ 6:36 and had to tell him again 10 minutes later! No they weren’t crowded! Very upset and dissatisfied Customers!

Absolutely the most TERRIBLE service. We waited 46 minutes for drinks and appetizers… Where and when do you have to wait this long??? My husband and I placed our order at 6:06 and at 6:36 we notified the so called manager that we hadn’t received our drinks or appetizers, he said he would check on it, 15 min later we FINALLY GOT OUR DRINKS AND APPETIZER. ITS NOW 655… NEVER AGAIN, NO APOLOGIES FOR OUR WAIT. HORRIBLE.

For about the past year or so, classmates and I have been coming to this place every once in awhile because they have some good food and drink specials. I’ve been to this establishment around 7 – 8 times and I can honestly say I only got good service once. Last time I was there a few weeks back, our waiter looked like he was 19 and in sweatpants. I’m assuming he was the bus boy and the waitresses did not want to serve us for whatever reason? Drinks ordered are always slow but the food is usually pretty good. Overall, service is terrible. But they have some great drink specials so if you’re willing to turn an hour lunch into a 2 hour lunch with all your waiting, then you might not mind it as much.

My lord!!! How is this place still in business??? The worse service Ive ever had anywhere, anywhere!!! The staff standing around talking and laughing with eachother, then you ask about the 20 min wait ON YOUR WATER and you’re told the bar hasn’t filled the order yet. Two different couples have walked out pissed off because they have been here over 10 min waiting to be served. As they left the 5, yes 5 employees leaning on the counter up front start laughing. The best part is our group is looking to write a review ab this place and every search on the web had nothing but the same terrible things to say. JOKE JOKE JOKE

Ugh… we could barely sit there for 10 minutes. .should have turned around when the people who work there didnt seem to wanna seat us… so we sat ourselves at the bar… first of all the place was filthy. …drunk old patrons and our bartender looked like she had been workin 2 jobs while working there. .just tired… even the menus were dirty… we left without ordering a damn thing. .wont be back

I’m definitely not out this way much and there’s not much to do except this Bar Louie. Pretty much the same as any other Bar Louie, except it’s huge and the music is a lot better (Hip hop all night). They have a DJ that starts at 9:00 and this place gets packed. Note-​worthy are the nacho’s and we enjoyed the specialty cocktails. If you want to get a table get there early, otherwise tons of people were just standing around.
