With the demise of New China Buffet in Chicago Heights and Old Country Buffet in Matteson, the question begged to be asked: will there ever be another buffet to top the likes of them? And to answer that, yes. Hibachi Grill Buffet was the long awaited answer to many of those seeking out good food to get your fill on at a great price. The latter ones I’ve mentioned were great places to eat at reasonable prices but for whatever they closed I don’t know. I do know that the place is the most consistent in regards to food quality, presentation, and attention to refilling empty food bins. Although the food is not 5 star quality, you get more bang for your buck and you dont walk out of the buffet with the guilty realisation that you shouldn’t of ate the eggrolls and eggdrop soup. But massive props for the hibachi grill with their appealing selection of raw ingredients and also the generous assortment of sushi, which they make in front of you and serve. The sushi, I think, is worth the price of the buffet alone! Just think, all you can sushi for about 8 – 10 $ depending if you are there lunch or dinner! My only gripe and complaint is their lack of cleanliness both in the dining area AND the men’s washroom. Don’t even get me started on the mens washroom. Horrendous. They both went into a steep decline in recent years. Not like it was when they first opened. But all in all, I still love the place. Good food and great prices.

Always a good meal at Hibachi Buffet. The food is always fresh, unless you are there late at night, and the sushi too. I am loving the steaks at the grill they are a nice new feature, make sure to ask the cook to pull it off early if you don’t want it well done.

I have been to this establishment several times over the years and only in recent months have I been unsatisfied! Food just average, prices have definitely gone up, waitstaff and customer service are lacking to say the least!

I was quite disappointed when I recently went to Hibachi’s to celebrate a family graduation! A party of 15 people!!! It started with a mix up of the prices that we would pay with the 10% gratuity. We felt we were being overcharged. To appease us, they gave a discount to the first two sets of people paying but not the last two, myself included. At the tables, the waitress barely cleared the tables or refilled our drinks, and each time we had to ask her to clear them. She definitely had an attitude! We felt like since she’d gotten her tip, she didn’t have to work!!! DEFINITELYSHODDYSERVICE! We will NOT be returning! Hibachi has changed for the worse!!! ITUSEDTOBEONEOFMYFAVORITERESTAURANTS!!!

Went here mother’sDay with family. The stir fry grill was my favorite thing. And the all you can eat crab legs we on point. I think you should call to make sure the crab is on the buffet before you go. I will definitely go back.$ 15.99.

The food was okay… I went in the evening and experienced good and stale food. Everything that was healthy was nasty and everything that was fried and not healthy it was tasty!

The plantain is always the ripest And most delicious. They have new ice cream cups instead of scooping it out yourself, which for hygiene purposes I enjoy this decision. The staff is hit or miss friendly. The guy tonight was like a ninja and took your finished plate when you weren’t looking but his personality was nonexistent. The hibachi grill master does a good job cooking but is grouchy. All in all a good experience ha!

Visited Hibachi Grill this evening. The food was excellent. I had Thai Chicken and Sesame Chicken. Both were well seasoned. I also really enjoyed the steamed vegetables near the Orange chicken. My only complaint is that there is so much to choose from I couldn’t taste it all. I plan to visit again soon

Great restaurant. Good food. However they need to get more assorted flavours of ice cream and the drinking glasses need to be changed. I got one that was leaking. However outside of that i was pleased. HIBACHIHASBECOMEONEOFMYMOSTFAVOURITERESTAURANTS.

Best in the south suburbs! The staff is friendly and the quality of food is great for the price. There’s a great variety of Asian and American foods. The best part is the sushi — it’s always made fresh with the best ingredients.

Not many Chinese buffets left around the southwest burbs anymore. Went here for lunch yesterday. You cannot beat the price and you get more than your money’s worth. The buffet is extensive with a mix of Chinese and American food. Did not try the American stuff or what looked like a decent salad bar. The Chinese selections and the made to order hibachi grill are decent. And for 8 bucks for lunch there is no way you can go wrong even if you do not make a pig of yourself!

Overall a good value for the money. I tasted the fried chicken, fried fish, grilled flounder stuffed crab etc. The chicken was pretty tasty. The only problem was some of the food was cold. I wonder if it was due to being so close to closing time.

While this place does have a nice variety, only a few of the items were actually good. I went on a Sunday afternoon, so it was pretty busy, but the buffet is set up in a way that makes getting your food efficient, even when it’s busy. There were a few pretty tasty dishes; unfortunately at a buffet it’s hard to remember what’s what. The only thing I’d advise is staying away from the sushi bar unless you see the chefs preparing the sushi right before it makes it’s way to your plate. I wanted to try it, but it looked dried out, and I was scared to ask how long it’s been sitting there. Overall, not a bad place, but I can’t see myself going back.

For this place to be a buffet. the food and service is actually really good. I was kinda on a diet plan so imagine how difficult it was to indulge with the family at this place. Buffets can also be kinda sketchy when they are cheap, but this place does not miss the mark. The traditional items served here are well prepared and have flavor. I had mostly veggies and fish which was really good. They also have tender prime rib which was seasoned and cooked well. The crabmeat and cheese was so delish! I had 2 helpings of it. I hope they do not change their menu as I would like to go again and have all of the items I had before. also not busy on Tuesday nights of course.

Been here a couple times, and really enjoyed both times. The food is great, there is so much to choose from. A couple things that got my attention 1. The fresh ice cream 2. They serve horchata, and it’s actually really good(I’m picky about horchata) 3. The fountain with the all the fish and turtles. My son LOVED it. You can even get some fish food from them for a quarter to feed them. I should go here more often because it’s so close!

The best Chinese buffet in the area. The food is really good, it’s clean, and they have a pretty large selection of sushi. The hibachi grill always has a huge line, so never tried it, must be good.

My family went here yesterday and the food was pretty good. They had a great variety to choose from. The frog legs were a welcome surprise and they were delicious. My husband and son raved about the ice cream. Great value.
