Tobacco Plus

I have been going to tobacco plus for 2 months. I have been treated like family, the customers are all welcoming, they have many great events going on, it’s like going on vacation without having to go far, they also roll their own brand of cigars, «I recommend the barber pole or the Connecticut «both smooth and refreshing. They have a lounge with 3 leather couches & 4 leather chairs, as well as 1 coffee table 4 or 5 side tables. They have a built in patio were you can bring your own food as well as WI fi so bring your work too. Now to the best part, a huge walk in humidor packed with every cigar you can imagine if you can’t find it they will try their best to get it for you.

The lounge part of this place is very small. Very limiting seating, unless you want to sit in a bar stool at a high top table. But that’s not my definition of «lounging». Also, there’s a neon sign on the front door that says «fine spirits» and a shelf behind the checkout counter with liquor bottle displays. But here’s the kicker. You can’t drink there. Not even BYOB. But they have a good selection and fair prices, so go there to buy a cigar and then smoke it somewhere else.

Awesome place great people atmosphere is accepting. If your in the area and smoke cigars it’s a must stop in!!!

I’m a cigar guy. When I travel I’m always looking for a place to have a cigar.
My father and I happened upon this place on New Years Eve. The place was filled with regulars already smoking in the lounge. It’s not a huge place, so know that going in. But the people there welcomed us and made us feel like we were part of their family.
After a conversation with the owner, I came to realize that he’s a cigar guy running a business. Not a business guy selling cigars. To me, that’s a big deal. In fact, they have their own brand of cigars called ‘708’. Highly recommend trying one.
The Good:
+ Fully stocked humidor
+ Friendly, active community
+ Customer Service far exceeds most cigar lounges
+ Place to sit in smoke with comfortable seating
Not So Good:
+ Lounge is not very spacious
If you’re a cigar guy, do yourself a favor and check this place out. They’re the real deal.

OMG… I just stopped by this cigar lounge for the first time after walking past it several times. I do believe I am in love. I was an avid cigar smoker in my younger days, however I have not had a cigar for several years now. The atmosphere is very cool and relaxed. I was offered hot tea with my cigar and the use of the television remote. They have an extensive selection of cigars, big comfy chairs, a big screen television and premium spirits, everyone was very friendly and helpful. I will definitely be returning soon. This is a real find.

I cannot believe it has taken me so long to write a review here. I have been smoking cigars here since the place opened and I was a young new staffer in the ER at Olympia Fields Osteopathic Hospital, and then for years when I was in private practice in the area, and boy have I seen some changes. There are old timers here like Jim, Ollie, Mark and Arthur back in the day .and always lots of new people… always amazing how folks here talk with me no matter how long since I have visited. The staff here are like family to me. Firas and Zaid are the best, Rami was always fun to talk with, I really miss bringing crab rangoon in to share with Canaar. All staff are really knowledgeable. House brand are as good as any other selection. These guys will get special selections for you, they will introduce you, if you have never smoked a cigar before, they will help you and everyone else will support you and make you feel relaxed. They have some of the best cigars money can buy… and some of the best good values in the cigar world. I moved my practice to Orland Park and no longer cross paths with this place, but every time I go back here it feels like meeting with close old college friends. Go here and you will not go wrong.

On occasion nothing is as satisfying as a good cigar. This is the place to get them. Knowledgable staff and great vibe make this a great experience each and every time. Met Bernie Mac here once. Great guy. A week later I was in a suite at a Sox Cubs game and Bernie Mac was in the next suite over. He acted like we were old buddies and instantly gave me the juice with my girly and coworkers. Tobacco Plus. Hell yeah!

I enjoyed stopping in today. Rami was a pleasure to deal with, and the house ‘708’ habano cigar in corona was delicious. Nice décor, good selection, comfortable, friendly.

Well well well where do I start, I’ve been going to TP as the regulars call it for 8yrs now wow that’s awhile, but anyway what an awesome place great cigars (try the new 708 cigar) awesome owners and workers as well just a great place to meet new and old friends and have a great smoke with a wide selection

This place is great. Large selection and the staff is amazing. They helped me pick out items for my wedding and worked with me on price to give me a great package. I also love their liqueur selection not massive as a liqueur store is but the only carry the best of the best and some off brands and little know products that are just wonderful to see. I come for all the way in Hyde Park to shop here.

I am a fine quality cigar smoker I have been since 1984. I have been buying cigars from Tobacco Plus for over 12 years now. Over the past year I have had the pleasure of experiencing the delights of the cigar lounge area. I used to be so busy that I would buy my cigars and scoot. I am sad I missed this great cigar room and friendly staff over that period. I look forward to coming to TP everyday. The customer and client base is so diverse. I have learned a great deal about other cultures and I have had the pleasure of meeting influential folks that have helped me in my job search, relationships and social perspective. I love the TP vibe and the laughter. This lounge fits my style. It is warm and friendly. TP has a great selection of cigars and I never miss their high quality events.
