I ordered a burger and it was horrible it look like a government cheeseburger. Service was awful and not the staff fault. There was an event and they had about 60 people and 2 waitress. Will never go here again

I stopped by this restaurant earlier in the week, only to find the restaurant was closed when I arrived at 8:30pm. The hours posted online stated 12am. I was really eager to try the food and had purchased a groupon. Needless to say I was very disappointed, but I guess I’ll give it another try… I now know to phone first.

This is a nice little spot to listen to Jazz. Came here for dinner and stayed for the jazz. The restaurant is divided into two sections, one for dinner and the other side is the bar/jazz. For dinner I had the short ribs which were tender and taste pretty good. The side of Cajun corn was the best part of the meal. My friend had the gumbo which I thought was just ok. The jazz side was great. The band was great and performed well. I would go back and bring friends.

Grupon bought us in $ 30 worth of food for $ 15. The cat fish dinner was tasty but very small in portion. Only 1 small piece of fish with 2 sides. At $ 15 I’m expecting more fish. Sides were a frozen or canned veggie(definitely not fresh) They were setting up for a party in the rear room where we were seated(thought that was odd — why not sit us in the front dining room) service was a little slow. Staff seamed untrained. I may give them another try but honestly I don’t know why. I was really disappointed.

I will not post my feelings towards this establishment on my experience. I will only detail what happened. Friday 1⁄36:30 pm. Walking towards the entrance, there was a party of 6 already seated in the dining room. As we entered, we were cordially welcomed and given the choice of seating area. We sat in the dining room, my wife and I. Our 1st waitress La Tanya, quickly served us water and complimentary corn bread inside of individual small paper trays. Our server ask if it was our first time there, which it was. We were given the menus,(take out paper type) a few minutes later placed an appetizer order. I ordered frog legs to which I asked how many legs came with the order. La Tanya did not know, but before she could ask, I decided to add a second appetizers to be on the safe side. She came back shortly after placing that order and informed me that the frog leg order came with 4 legs. A second server approached us to take our drink order. She offered mixed drinks which we declined. We asked for iced tea. She told us she was going to check if they had iced tea. She came back to tell us in fact there was none. She did however say she could make us Long Island Ice Teas if we wanted.(Don’t those drinks need iced tea to make) We accepted, Long Islands arrived with tea. They were actually very good. Our appetizers arrived. Fried pickles in a clear plastic nachos container, frog legs(6) in a serving plate, garnished accordingly. Both were season and prepare very much to our liking. Our second server came back to take our dinner order.(didn’t get her name, she was in the bar area) my wife ordered the Jambalaya, I ordered the Alligator Picante. She tells me she has to check if they have the AP. Came back with the bad news. OK I’ll try the Chicken and Sausage Gumbo. Comes back with more bad news, no gumbo. Offers me the Shrimp Creole, which I wasn’t in the mood for seafood, I accepted however. As we ate our appetizers and waited for the rest of our meals. The table that was already there placed there orders. A few minutes later the second waitress(Latanya wasn’t around by now) approached their table to tell them they didn’t have enough chicken wings to complete both of their orders. I overheard some of the options given. One was getting the kids meal wing order, getting frog legs with buffalo sauce. By now we were done and I was ready to go. The main entrees were like another post described. Dry like if it been reheated several times. I asked for a refill of water for the both of us. She returns with an almost empty pitcher of iced water. Barely enough for two half filled glasses of water. My wife says, «What, they’re out of water too!» 2 appetizers, 2 cocktails, 2 entrees with side salads = $ 50 + $ 10 tip. Total $ 60. You can make your choice based on my experience. If your experience is far from what I have described I’d like to experience it with you.
