C-Vets

I brought my 3 yr old dog here because I thought she ingested a dishwasher tablet. I called ahead to let them know I was on my way. When I got there the vet tech wrote down a 1800 # to animal poison control and walked me into a room where he proceeded to tell me that he has no idea what is in the dishwasher tablets, he’s not a chemist and that I need to call the # and get charged $ 65. I’m carrying my dog, who is shaking and had vomited on the way, along with the container of tablets. He did not offer to help carry anything and he even made me use my own cell phone. He attempted to look at my dog once to check her vitals but she growled at him so he left. I could hear him talking to someone about it in the other room. After, talking to the poison center, they gave me a case # to have the vet call and they would explAin that the dog should be fine but that he should check her lungs just to make sure there is no fluid in them. So, I went searching for the vet tech (since he never checked on me) and talked to the front desk lady. She went to go get him but instead of him coming to speak with me, he told her (all I could over hear) that he would be able to tell anything unless he took an X-​ray. And if I wanted to do that I could sign in and they would charge me. He didn’t even come out to tell me himself. What a horrible experience to have to deal with someone so rude when you’re fearing for your dogs life.

If I could give no stars I would. My dog was in horrible distress and we brought her in. She could hardly breathe and wasn’t responding to anyone. The Drs had no idea what to do with her and didn’t even give her oxygen, but once my husband requested it they did. We up and left and brought her to an er where she passed shortly afterwards. I don’t know if they could have saved her honestly, but those precious hours before her death were chaotic and they did nothing to help her!
