Harris Teeter

I’ve grown up on Harris Teeters. My first job was at the Cotswold Harris Teeter. I shop at this location weekly. It’s very clean and easy to move through. Their fresh produce is just that, fresh! Sometimes I’ll just skip the trip to the farmers market. They’ve got a really good meat & sea food selection. The butchers are knowledgeable and ready to help. Nice deli. They FINALLY got a sushi chef. Wine and beer section has just about everything. Fast and friendly check out or choose the self check out. If you’re used to the bigger and more updated Harris Teeters, this one might throw you off a bit at first, but in a refreshing way! If you’re in the area, give it a try.

I actually do not shop at Harris Teeter often. But when they advertise triple coupons, I have to check them out. Apparently everyone agrees, because the place is packed, and they have all been watching Extreme Couponing, because anything even close to a price near $ 0 when you slap a triple coupon on it is gone.
Not low, but gone. The whole section of shelving is just empty. Sometimes stores will spread a single row of product so it looks like there is some there — but in this case it is just cleared out. It looks spooky, because this place is pristine, even a few years after they opened. To be fair, most Harris Teeters generally look pretty good, but this one is really kept in good shape.
Staff here is in good spirits as well — no mean feat since they have been assaulted by all those couponers all week. It might have something to do with me asking about an application for our sixteen year old. Anyone offering to help — or suggesting that help is on the way — is seen as a good thing.

This Harris Teeter is small and limited. The employees here are usually helpful. I find the teenage employees very respectful and good at their jobs. I shop here because it’s close but it ranks low for a Harris Teeter.

Good location. You can tell that the staff takes real good care of this store. Actually, I used to work at this HT location many years ago as a night stalker… I’d come into work at 10pm, the store closes at 11pm, and we get locked in until 6am when the store opens back up.
This location is not super huge like the Arboretum HT, so we were able to stock the store in a decent night and straight the shelves before the store opened in the morning. I think that’s what makes the store super clean.
This is the closest HT to my parents house so I frequent it a lot when I am visiting them.

I am not sure if I am just getting lucky or what… Yesterday while in Mathews NC I was actually waiting for my car at The Firestone I walked maybe oh I guess 50 yards. And low and be hold was the Mack Daddy of all Harris Teeters!
When I walked in I asked one of the managers how long had this place been open? It was so clean it was like it opened yesterday! Come to find out she told me it was there about 6 years ! Now that is some high standards if you keep a store to look like that after 6 years!
This store is designed a little different not likeany I am used to (for the good) walking in going to the right there is produce then aisles of stuff this had the deli right next to the produce section! Imagine that someone who actually worked in a grocery must have designed that instead of some archi teck sitting in a multimillion dollar office.
Think about it you get your produce what every you need then get your soup (s) yes they had some Killer chilli! your breads your cheeses your sliced meats or even a prepared or semi prepared meal. Hello people thing about how easy that is!
