This is a two-​thumbs up from me and my 9-​year old.
We arrived at 545p on a Saturday, no wait and quick seating. Pleasant waitstaff.
Soup was delicious-​hot and sour for me and miso for my son. Hot and juuuuuuuust right on flavor.
Rainbow roll and double heart roll for supper-​and wowza-​they prepared it quickly! We both loved it but the best part was the sauce on the double heart roll. We just about licked it off the plate.
Definitely coming back.

The atmosphere is sleek & modern. Sushi is top notch with an excellent choice of rolls. Service was great even when they were swamped with a crowd. Definitely recommend for anyone in the Matthews area.
Only drawback is the price of the nigiri. A bit high per piece.

After reading assorted bad reviews on Unilocal I somehow lost my mind and decided to try it because I really wanted some Chinese food — when you walk in everything seems nice but not only was our booth about to fall apart but all of the food that was ordered for all four people at my table was completely void of any taste or flavor so much so that eating air would’ve had more flavor I definitely will not be back I gave them one star because I couldn’t give them less

Nice sushi, if unoriginal rolls. Fm really liked the dynamic and giant roll. Fresh and fast and lovely Kani salad. A great takeout sushi option for stallings and matthews.

I found this restaurant by searching Unilocal.I’m so glad I did!
This Japanese restaurant has a nice atmosphere and very friendly staff. I ordered spicy tuna roll, miso soup, and crab Rangoon. Everything tasted wonderfully. I will definitely go back on my next visit to the city!

My family and I went here based on a citi pass coupon. We read mixed reviews on Unilocal but decided to give it a try. The place is very clean, the people were friendly but the food was cold. However, it was the service. Our server let the food sit out longer than it should have. Based on this, we would give it another try, but hopefully can get more expedited service.

We used to go to this restaurant once a week for take-​out. This was our go-​to restaurant. We loved this place.
However, they have either really gone down hill or changed managers. Our food has been old, cold, dry and tasteless and we live a half mile away.
After several failed tries, hoping it was just a couple of mistakes, we realize it’s not. So we are now hoping you are made aware that your take-​out customers matter and that you adjust accordingly.

This is our go to place for sushi. It has always been very good. Their Chinese options are ok to good, depending in what you get. I will say that the lo mein is not good at all-​it has been soggy and gross every time we’ve ordered it.

Just order the special trio had enough broccoli to choke a horse, four tiny pieces of beef, 4 shrimp, and 6 very thin slices of chicken. This was order to share and this was a very poor serving, completely. I’ve been here several times and that’s awful.

Been going here for awhile but the service is going downhill and the sanitation of this restaurant is going way down. The plates literally had crud all over them. That’s a good indicator of the sanitation of the kitchen. I had to ask a hostess to take the order because the lady left us there forever. You could tell by her response it happens alot and she was embarrassed as if it was normal.
If your the owner and you are reading this: get your place together or I promise you won’t be around for very long with the development moving out here.

I stopped in to order some take out last weekend. I decided to order basil chicken with brown rice, a spring roll, and egg drop soup. The food was ready quickly and when I got it home, found nice big portions, definitely enough for 2 people or 2 meals. The food was a solid 3 stars, prices definitely comparable to other similar places.

I’m somewhat new to the Matthews area and have been trying all the restaurants in town when I get the opportunity. I’ve tried several of the different sushi/​Chinese selections and this is by far a chopstick above the rest! Friendly service, accurate time frame for food delivery and wonderful quality of food makes myself rate this establishment 5 stars. I HIGHLY recommend a visit if you haven’t already.

Been a few times before and always loved the food. The lunch was great as always.
However, tried a sushi app to test the waters and got exactly what I expected. Standard sushi for a Chinese place. Mealy frozen fish and flavorless sushi rice. If you like «sushi» with mayo and crunchies and cream cheese you’ll do fine. Otherwise, stick with the Chinese fare.

A very nice, affordable sit down Asian restaurant. The food is very good, the staff friendly, and the atmosphere is relaxed. I recommend the basil chicken, while my wife really enjoys the steak and lobster sizzling platter. If you’re tired of eating at those ratty tables they throw up front in most take out joints, then MingFu is what the doctor ordered. It’s classic Asian cuisine done in a classy and delicious way.

My mother and I went to dinner at Ming Fu last night. We ordered hot tea, soups, sushi, and a chicken and shrimp with both broccoli in brown sauce dish (we omitted the beef).
The service was nice and quick. The food tasted fine.
We got food poisoning. We were up all night off and on and can’t leave the house now.
Please use caution in eating here. I ate here once before and it was fine too but fine isn’t a good enough reason to risk food poisoning. I don’t think I can ever go back. Felt compelled to share.

Been here twice now. First time got a noodle bowl which was very good and a nice value (probably what they do best honestly) The crab rangoon was a great appetizer and way better than any buffet version I’ve had.
The second visit however, I wanted to try something different so I got the orange beef… which was disgusting. The beef was overcooked and not tender. The sauce was overly syrupy and way too sweet with NO taste of orange apart from the hard little candied orange peel curlies swimming in the sauce at the bottom of the plate. There were four cold broccoli florets included but they had not been tossed with the stir fry… thus were cold and tasteless. I’m no chef and I’m not from China but I can tell you they missed the boat on this one (no pun intended).
I plan on continuing to go here, I will try the sushi next time.

Beautiful building, inside and out. Even the food is presented very nicely. Staff is friendly as well. The menu leaves a bit to be desired, as it’s fairly typical Chinese, with some sushi, not that there is anything wrong with that.
Really the only problem is that the building is so nice that the food just doesn’t live up to it. If this was a standard walk-​in Chinese place, the food would probably taste a whole lot better, but because it’s presented in such a nice atmosphere, it brings the food down a notch (or three).
It really isn’t bad — and prices are certainly reasonable as well. It’s just that the bar is set so high with such a nice presentation that you expect a lot more and it’s a bit of a let down when it’s not outstanding. Still a very solid offering, and it is visually very pleasing.
