I didn’t take the plunge to pay for seasonal skeeter treatment until I had a child who was born with 1000% mosquito approved and tested skin(just like me. but I will wear bug spray and I don’t want to douse her in DEET). At first, I used a Living Social coupon to get a discounted new customer yard spray, then I signed up for the monthly treatment. This was last summer and I repeated the monthly treatments for this year’s summer season(2015), too. You do not have to be home for the sprays to take place and while some employees seemed to take a little more time spraying our small lot than others, the treatments work pretty well overall. unless it rains right after a spray. More often than not, The Mosquito Authority will delay a treatment by a day or so if they know bad weather is coming and will send an email to keep you posted. But, they guarantee no mosquitos and will come back for a re-spray if you let them know. And I have. I take the guarantee seriously and have never had anyone give me attitude about wanting a re-spray. The spray is safe for kids and pets(I mean, don’t let them be in the yard while it’s being done but give it a bit to dry and then you’re back outside for grass stains and picnics) and I didn’t notice any mass deaths of non-mosquito bugs(ie butterflies and bees) so YAY for that.
