Love this park, been coming here since I moved to little rock 5 years ago. It’s quiet, clean and always very pretty! My nana & pawpa live nearby to so that’s always a plus. Don’t miss out! go to the park!!! run, walk or jog don’t get fat ! After this great review everybody should be going to the park and working on their fitness!!!

In my opinion, Lake Willastein is one of the best places to be outdoors in Maumelle. They have multiple trails; a beautiful lake with plenty of ducks and geese roaming freely; a nice sized playground and pavilion; and even a peaceful military memorial. My family and I also fly kites here, as there is plenty of space to do so. As mentioned previously, Maumelle puts on a great fireworks display over the 4th of July. Also, they host Maumelle Family Fest yearly at Lake Willastein. They even put up a walking Christmas lights tour in the fall.

We absolutely love this park. The playground is clean, well maintained, and doesn’t have loose gravel, sand, or that nasty rubbery tire mess. If you are in the area, come by and play here!

This is a pretty place to come with the kids, the dogs or just by yourself. Lake Willastein is a man-made lake/earthen dam created in 1942 which perhaps why there are several military-looking bunkers spread around. There’s a jogging track, a few piers to fish from, a kids playground and hiking trails that lead back into the woods. There’s 53 acres to explore and I have been told, an excellent 4th of July fireworks display held by the water.
