Alterations Express

Fair skinned black lady on the thick side (size wise) always has an attitude… not focused on measuring clothes… always a drama queen… other staff take care of business… mostly good service… had to go back to resize three times… probably been there fifteen times

We have tried to use this alterations store so many times and have spent thousands of dollars there. We were just too lazy to find someone else.
This was the last straw. My husband brought clothes into be altered and again they were to big. She was very insulting and asked why he bought his clothes so big. Who cares why. He wants them tailored a certain way. He has had this happen on many occasions.
We went to pick up the clothes they needed to be re-​altered and they were not ready like they were suppose to be.
We didn’t ask for a discount or anything. We just left and won’t ever be back.
They will be losing out on a lot of money !

When you go to a tailor shop to have your clothing altered you would think a tailor/​seamstress would do your measurements, right?
Went in to have my bridal shower dress tailored… nightmare. A girl behind the counter took my measurements (little did I know she was not a seamstress), when I went back 2 days later as instructed, the dress was not done. Came back next day, a different lady then originally waited on me (still not a seamstress) handed me the dress and said thanks have a nice day. I asked if I could try it on to ensure it fits properly. Glad I did, it was too big. I asked if it could be fixed and the lady consulted with a seamstress (finally a seamstress. I could hear them snickering behind the counter about what to do, they came back and said it was not their fault and had to charge me for a second alteration. By this point I paid 2x’s what the dress cost, but needed it to be done since my event was in two days, I feel like I had no choice but to have them try and fix it. Came back a 3^rd time to pick it up and I was still not satisfied, it was still too big. I had to buy inserts in order to fill the dress out.
I even contacted the online service the website has and no one reached out… POOR customer service. Will NEVER return!!! WASTE OF $$$

Amber, the evening manager, is a delight! She took care of a hem for us in under 15 minutes, charged us under $ 10 and kept us laughing the entire time. Gotta love Amber and the gang at Alterations Express!

Just took five pants and two skirts to this location to be altered and the women who worked on me could NOT have been nicer, especially Amber, the manager. I’m getting a LOT done and my final bill is $ 204.73, but they have a payment plan with a very reasonable downpayment stipulated on a sign behind the cash register (IIRC, it’s 25% down for orders costing more than $ 50 and 50% down for orders costing more than $ 100). Beats the heck out of buying a whole new clothes after losing 40+ pounds.

Express is correct. Alterations are quick. They don’t take alot of time to understand or get the fit correct, but you do get the finished product a day or two later. It’s also pretty cheap.
They have a few very large dressing rooms with mirrors inside. At this location, you can try on your items and someone will come into the fitting room with you to take the measurements.
Overall, decent & quick in a pinch, as well as having convenient weekend hours makes this a OK place to get your tailoring done.
