These guys suck. I originally hired Storage Plus from Waltham to move me but somehow these guys showed up and they were terrible. I am pissed off that they overcharged by over estimating their travel and load times(plus they’re just slow and fat). These guys damaged items and what got me going the most was when they brought in my large bar(yea its heavy, but the first guys had no problem, but they were young and fit) to the stairs and gave up before even trying. They literally said, I don’t think this will work, and gave up. It took my boyfriend and I making adjustments, offering ideas, and even helping lift stuff to get my things in the apartment. Ridiculous. Storage Plus moved me into their storage units a month prior and they were great, but I’m very diapointed that they contracted me out without notice to these shlubs. They were high ranks before sending these guys from Paulista, that I couldn’t even yell at or discuss business with because they could barely speak english.

Needed someone to move a few pieces of furniture up and down the stairs in our condo and decided to go with these guys. They showed up on time. Did not have much forethought about how to best move things between three rooms so that the limited space could be best used. They had to be told that in order to put things into a small room, things had to be taken out of it first. One of us actually had to keep saying«Now this goes upstairs. Now move this one.» They had little respect for the door frames or railings on the stairs and used them to balance furniture on their way up and down. Fortunately, our furniture is pretty beat up, but we were not looking to make it more so. When they were done, they charged us for 3 men, not 2 and an additional hour for travel. That would have been fine, but they did not tell us about the extra hour during the phone conversation. I specifically asked if there were any other charges. I would not recommend these guys. Go with Marathon Movers instead!

Tossed the dice and took a chance with these folks. It turned out to be a good ‘move’ in more ways than one. Low-key and more informal than a Gentle Giant type of experience. But when the latter tried to justify their 100% higher costs based on the fact that they pay higher wages to the movers, I lost interest. Paulista was on-time, worked steadily despite a 90 degree, humid day. There were a couple of dings, but hey, most of my furniture is second hand from Acton’s Tables to Teapots. The entire day went smoothly and the Paulista crew did a great job. I would definitely recommend them to friends and would use them again, except now I live far away!
