After last year’s remodel of the Maysville Kroger their liquor«shoppe» was moved even further down the plaza. I thought they had closed until I started looking around in panic! They’re aren’t too many places in Maysville with such a variety of alcohol, including higher end bourbon. And local bourbon, like Old Poque Distillery’s Master’s Select. So, so, sooooo good, and expensive. Sip local! They also have beer and wine, but if you’re looking for these I’d suggest going to the Kroger grocery store-more variety. However, like most Krogers, they have a build-your-own bottle and cans six pack section that features a pretty good selection of local beers. Well, local as in Cincinnati, Ohio breweries, including Rivertown, Christian Moerlein and Rhinegeist. Also a few Indy beers, that I forget the names of(not a fan of most distributed Indy beers.) Regardless, the liquor shoppe had different variety than the grocery, which was a little odd. They also had an uncomfortable amount of Rivertown Pumpkin, which is a GREAT Pumpkin Ale but a little late in the season to have it on the shelves I think. How long does that stuff last… I’ve come across the same guy many times working in there and he’s very knowledgable. It’s not just some clerk working a register. He might not know deets on all the booze but he definitely knows his inventory, I can attest to that!
