I have been coming here since they opened. Great food on weekends, I think some people need to know the difference between Guatemalan bread and Mexican bread. Mexican bread is more sweet and can be a little bit more moist, Guatemalan bread is a bit more dry, it’s meant to be dipped in your delicious coffee. I only mentioned that because some people think it’s too dry and that it’s lacking something but that’s just how Guatemalans make their bread. If the bread doesn’t interest you, drop by and try some delicious homemade tamales. They’re always made fresh and with great appreciation. I’ll be making a stop soon and post some pictures.

Just moved to the neighborhood and was delighted to discover a Guatemalan bakery since they tend to be rare. Being a Guatemalan American, I can not live without my chuchitos or those traditional Guatemalan treats. I totally recommend this place!

It’s a small panaderia but they have all main Guatemalan staples such as tamales, chiles rellenos and rellenitos in weekends. A true authentic bakery in and around Maywood.
