Met up with some friends for a round of golf. Based on where I live, this golf course is way off the beaten path. I would like to say it is in the middle of nowhere, down tight winding roads. The place was purchased last year and the new owners are doing a bunch of renovations, so at first blush, it is not looking in the best shape, but you can see what the new ownership is looking to do and I am sure it is going to look really nice. The golf course as a restaurant, lounge, hotel rooms and a place you can rent out for events. The golf course itself was in great shape. All the greens, with the exception of one, are in fantastic shape and the one that isn’t in great shape had a rough winter. The greens staff is working on it though and I bet it comes back like the others. Overall the course is relatively wide open, has a few blind shots and some the fairways are angled, so even the best placed shot may not stay on the fairway. The course is by no-means impossible, but it does offer some tough holes. The staff was extremely friendly and really wanted you to enjoy your time. Since this was our first experience, they were more than willing to give advice and tips on some of the holes. The cost was very affordable. 18 holes + cart during the week was $ 34. I would certainly and will certainly be back to play here again despite being ‘out of the way.’
