Lake Salon

I’ve been going to Lake Salon for the past four months for hair color highlights and cut. I love, love the color product line that they use! Tasha and Leanne are awesome stylists. Everyone at the salon is super friendly and I really relax when I’m there because I know I am in such good hands. Isn’t that the way all salons should be? Tasha chose the best color for me and her highlights are exceptional. I have course, curly hair but when I leave that salon it is straight, shiny and healthy looking. I get so many compliments on my hair. They do great manicures too. I am moving out of town in a few weeks. I wish I could pack up Lake Salon and take it with me! Did I mention how great the prices are? What a great find!

Lake Salon is a wonderful salon. I go to Tasha for hair color, cut and waxing and cannot say enough good things about her. Crystal cuts my sons’ hair and she is also very talented and congenial. Both women, as well as all the employees and the owner whom I have met, are professional, friendly and have great senses of humor. I am very selective about my hair and beauty services, and having moved to the Deep Creek Lake area from Annapolis, I was a bit hesitant about going to a new «small town» salon. I met Tasha, my stylist, and right away I liked her direct, upfront honest approach. I have been growing out my hair and she has respected that by keeping it trimmed impeccably and in great shape. My color has been flawless every single time. I have gotten many compliments. This is the absolute best place to come for waxing — Tasha is the best waxer I have ever met. She can do everything from eyebrows to Brazilian and keep you comfortable the entire time. I will recommend that you make appointments ahead of time as this is a small salon (like all of the salons in this area) in our small resort community. It is clean, neat and they sell upscale product. Lake Salon welcomes walk-​ins and can almost always handle haircuts and blowouts, but if you are in need of hair color, nails, or other higher level services, please call ahead and make appointments. I am always offered coffee/​tea/​water. There are plenty of People magazines, and a great boutique wine/​book store next door. Prices are amazing. I highly recommend!

My wife and I were visiting Deep Creek on our honeymoon and during our stay she decided she wanted to get her haircut. We looked online and found Lake Salon was near where we were staying. Upon arriving the staff was very friendly, and my wife was able to get a haircut without an appointment. Overall we had a very good experience here and would recommend it to others. The price was fair, the people were great. And my wife loves her haircut!

Can’t say enough good things about Crystal! She did my nails and hair for my wedding. She went way above and beyond, travelled to a store an hour away, and spent hours sewing clips into my hair extensions. She was super nice and my updo stayed intact for 12 hours including rowdy dancing.

I’m so happy! They saved my daughters hair! It was bleached, fried, and, damaged, and they gave her a super cute cut, and fixed the color! ¹⁰⁄₁₀ would recommend!

So yeah… no. Walked in to spend a day of pampering and relaxation without kids in tow. Dark haired wanna be was rude and acted like she just couldn’t be bothered. «My schedule is open until 12:30.» Guess only one person works there. On a Saturday? Never again.

The girls are great and took care of our fun and wild family! We all loved our pedicures! Great spot to stop while on vacation while guys are golfing! Thanks for everything!

I came here as a consultation to have my hair done for my wedding. The girl couldn’t get the style even close to similar as the picture which was a simple up do. She was also really rude about it which is the exact opposite of what you want on your wedding day. I ended up getting a hair cut because she said she couldn’t do my hair as it was now. It will take me YEARS to grow my hair back after the horrible, horrible haircut given to me. It was extremely choppy with one think short layer and one long thin layer. It is an absurdly horrible haircut. The only think nice I can say is that the owner and the girl who cut my hair are very nice. She refunded my deposit as well.

I love the services here! Tasha is amazing and the pedis and manicures are fabulous! If you are looking for a local feel with professional services this is exactly where you need to go! And yes you soak your feet for a pedi and they do soak for awhile however that’s kind of the point of getting a pedi!!! You soak, relax, get and awesome foot scrub, toes prepared polished and moisturized and then leave with happy legs and feet!

While on vacation this year I wanted to get my hair cut and have some relaxing kid-​free time… I am SOOOO glad I found this Salon on Unilocal.After reading the reviews I was alittle hesitant; however, I called for a appointment anyway and they were able to get me in within 30 minutes.
The salon is slightly hard to find for a vacationer since it is not off the main road, but it is in the same building as the Black Bear grill so look BEHIND and UNDER the black bear.
Walking in the décor was nice and updated a mix between black and purple which is a personal favorite color scheme of mine. I didn’t have to wait long for my stylist and was taken right back for a wash. I also got my eye brows waxed which turned out EXCELLENT (always nervous about a new place). My stylist was Crystal and my hair turned out amazing. I didn’t have time on this visit I’m planning on going again later this week for a mani.
Anyhow…the price was great just 28 for the whole shebang and my hair is just as I wanted… did I mention they offered me refreshments, I declined but it was a nice touch. My only suggestions is to be sure to make a appointment… they have limited stylists available and they are busy, and check the website to ensure that they have the services you want.

I wouldn’t go here. There are other spa and salons that will appreciate your business. After soaking our feet for our pedicures for 30 minutes, they come down and tell us they «just have to cut someone’s hair real quick.» After we wait even longer, we ask if we can just have a polish change as we no longer had time for the full pedicures. My paint job was good enough, but my sisters will literally slopped on. All of her old color was not even taken off. The edges were not taken care of, polish on her skin and then some of her nail was still left unpolished! She didn’t even begin with a base coat and we had to request it! It was a horrible service, leaving us with nothing but a bad mood. Wished we would have chosen another salon!

Our loyal clients come to us for hair, nails, tanning, facials, reflexology, makeup, waxing, etc. We also LOVE our vacationers and have a great reputation for excellent services at a value price

I went to this salon for an updo prior to my wedding last August. All in all, I was satisfied with the result, given the location and the price I was paying. I went for a practice run a few weeks before the wedding and had a good impression of the young women running the salon. The stylist (can’t remember her name) did a nice job with my hair. The style ended up being pretty generic, which was fine.
I give this salon 3 stars for two reasons: 1) when I asked for a messy updo and showed the stylist some examples, she didn’t really understand or know how to achieve the look I wanted, and 2) the stylist didn’t really remember some of the specifications that I gave her and changes to the basic style that I had asked for (detailed notes may have helped?).
To the brides checking out this review, I think this salon would be a good place for someone that is looking for a basic updo or other wedding hairstyle that doesn’t require a lot of creative thinking. And to other folks just needing a haircut, you should consider giving this place a shot. I feel like this salon and the young women running it have some potential.
