I approach the cashier with a bottle of Powerade. He says, «those are two for $ 4 if you want to grab another one.» In my dazed state I briefly consider the value of bulk purchasing Powerade until a thought hits me and I reply, «Aren’t these $ 1.60 each?» The cashier goes, «Yes.» Ok, at this point you’d think he’d concede that he was caught trying to scam me out of 80 cents, but he kept at it. Me: «Why would I pay $ 4 for two of them if they are $ 1.60 each?» Cashier: «You get more Powerade.» Me: «Yes, but two of them should cost $ 3.20» Cashier: «Well, you are just looking at it from a financial perspective. The value is that you get more Powerade.» This place is shady. Places that treat their customers like they are stupid tend not to do well. You know, from a financial perspective.
