I dropped off a pair of boots to get new soles put on them. Harry did a great job and delivered better than expected services. He is a little slow but he is a one man shop and his prices are competitive. I’ll be back!

DONOTWASTETIMEATTHISPLACE!!! I took a single shoe in to have stitched. He told me it would be ready in 5 days – which I thought was too long. I live 10 miles from the store and drove over to pick my shoe up and the store was closed. I tried to call… no answer. I went the next day… tried to call before I went… no answer. Called the salon that is next door and they said the shoe repair place was open. I drove all the way to pick up my shoe and he didn’t have it ready. I just picked up my shoe and left. He did give me my money back but not the money I spent in gas driving over there two times. When I told him I tried to call him many times, he was rude. I called the chamber of commerce of McKinney and the lady that works there said the owner takes off with no notice periodically. She said he was gone 3 months one time. I do not recommend at all.

Two pairs of shoes for sole savers to the soles. Service was fine, nothing über exceptional, but no issues. Pricing on par with other shops. Harry’s is a one man shop and very typical of a one man organization. Would recommend.

Brought a pair of shoes here to get the scuffed heels repaired. When I picked them up, all the store owner did was spray paint the shoes black. Heels were still scuffed and the shoes looked horrible. I threw them away. Won’t be back to this store.

Unless you ENJOY rude shopkeepers, I would avoid this place. I took in a single sandal with a strap that had popped out from the sole. I had tried to glue it myself & when he looked it it, he practically threw the shoe back at me, dismissively saying that I had ruined it, his glue would not stick because I had tried to glue it. I explained I had brought it to him to stitch the strap back in & after much convincing he agreed to do it(I’ve had sandals stitched before, glue isn’t the only way to fix shoes!). I had to pre-pay & was told«Come back Monday»(which was 7 days later). This shop has no posted hours & when you call to try to find out the hours, there isn’t even a message with this info– the phone just rings and rings. So, knowing I could catch him before work, I dropped by the following Monday morning only to be told my sandal wouldn’t be ready until after noon. At no time was this mentioned when I dropped off(and it is not printed on the pick-up tickets). When I picked my ticket back up from the counter, I sighed«I wish you’d mentioned that a week ago». He *yelled* at me that he tells ALL of his customers«after noon»! I certainly won’t be back. I had always liked the old dilapidated look of this place & love to support local businesses, especially on the square, but there’s no excuse for rudeness!
