We stopped here for lunch on a recommendation from a friend and were greeted by Tiffany, our wonderful and friendly server. We’d been out watching the sandhill cranes at Whitewater Draw and this was a perfect stop on the way on to Bisbee. It seems to be out –of-the-way but it’s really close to the southern end of Bisbee. We found out the place used to be a wild animal farm and the present bar and grill building used to be the reptile building.(They’ll give you a tour of the pens in the back if you ask.) The food was very good: We had an assortment of burgers, fish sandwiches, and grilled cheeses along with French fries and onion rings and a Blue Moon beer. We were all members of the clean plate club today. The bar is really cool with boots and old chaps hanging on the walls. Off to the side is a very nice dining area with lots of tables and room for dancing. I can see this place hopping every weekend. I think we’re going to make this place(used to be called Mike’s) a regular stop after visiting Whitewater each season. It’s great to see a neighborhood bar and grill like this doing so well in rural Arizona.
