Got our shakes in less than 10 minutes. Killed an ant and thought it would be an only occurrence. Killed another, killed a spider lowering itself from a web, killed two more ants then discovered several around our booth and on the floor. Waitress did not looked surprised when I told her and even sat another group in the booth. All of our drinks were gone before our food arrived. Not a great visit today.

Pretty good food here. Exactly what you would expect from a diner. Really my only complaint is the appetizers are insanely expensive. I don’t know if they don’t want people to order from them, so they price them high but they are more expensive than most entrees on the menu. I got the chicken fried steak and it was really great, the mashed potatoes came out of a bin because you could see the crust, but other than that, it was really great. Good sweet tea!

Waitress«Danny» was ok nothing more. The pinto beans were really good once they were seasoned, but the chicken fried steak was way overcooked, and bland. Mashed potatoes were good once they were seasoned. Overall not impressed, typical experience you would get anywhere.

Awesome Food! I was driving through Mcalester on a Sunday and noticed this 50’s diner with some old cars out front. I didn’t expect that the food would be TERRIFIC! We had steaks, reubens, and burgers. The steaks were better than a steak house and the service was great. Our server, Stephanie, was very patient and assisted us with everything. But the biggest surprise were the fried green tomatoes and fried pickles! Everything was made fresh, nothing frozen. That is unusual for a diner. I would Highly recommend that you try this place!

Nice wait staff, food is about average, not bad but not great. Bland pre-prepared warmed up fair. Keep you from starving but not worth going out of your way.

Awesome staff. We were that customer who arrived fifteen minutes before closing. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The beer was good, the wings were fine. The menu is basic bar and grill with with a 1950s nostalgic décor. Bottom line, if I’m passing by around meal time I will stop again.

Eclectic 50s themed diner that’s a good place to stop and rest on a long trip to Dallas. Breakfast served all day, but also classic diner options available for lunch and dinner. I went for the philly cheese steak sandwich and some chicken and dumplings for my side. The contents of the sandwich were good, with them actually using real steak. Plenty of mushrooms, peppers, cheese and meat. Wasn’t served on a roll as advertised, but instead just plain toast, which was disappointing. Also disappointing was the chicken and dumplings. I sadly watched as one of the cooks disappeared into the back kitchen, came out with a measuring cup of soup and heated it up in the microwave. This translated into a luck warm side dish, with no much dumpling and a rare piece of chicken. Would have hoped for a bit of better experience for the price, but if I’m in the area again, we’ll just go for one of the variety of breakfast dishes they offer.

My second visit to this«greasy spoon». First time it was ok just had a bowl of stew and a grilled cheese sandwich. Now on to the second visit. Last night. 9÷8÷15. My co-worker and I ordered steaks both were over cooked. The baked potato was cook early in the day and re-cooked before we ordered. Service was ok. But the real issue was the ants crawling all over the place. I will not be going back.

On the outside this place looks like a throw-back from the 1950’s, so you’ll be prepared that the inside is that way too. I was tempted to take a selfie in the men’s room with the very artistic privacy divider in the background but chickened out. Speaking of chicken, I ordered the lean angus burger — it was nicely grilled. It was served with the traditional iceberg lettuce and tomato. If these sides weren’t authentic I’d complain because I hate iceberg lettuce — with a passion. The shoe-string fries were hot and salty and couldn’t stop myself from devouring them. I ordered a HUGE, like in Texas-sized, carrot cake that was loaded with fruit and nuts and coconut. Being the good husband that I am, I took half of this home to my wife. My friend had the bowl of beans which he really liked. I would definitely come back here.

So very disappointed… I have been wanting to try this place for a while now so we decided to stop for a bite to eat. We placed our order and it was slow but wasn’t to concerned with it. However, while waiting for our food, I was looking around and watching the cooks. They were making my club sandwich and we’re NOT wearing gloves!!! GROSS!!! So I told the waitress to cancel our order and we left. Will never go back… Very unsanitary!

The fried shrimp dinner was amazing I got the 7 fried shrimp and they were of decent size but very tasty best fried shrimp I have had in a very long time. The shrimp comes with two sides, very large portions and a roll. Great friendly fast service. Many awesome deserts to chose from but I went with turtle pie.

We are giving this place 1 star even though the food is good. It took 40 minutes to get our food after we ordered. Would have been nice if they had told us that there was a huge group in the back and the cook was backed up. Waitress never came over to check on us or tell us what was going on. A little communication would have great. Otherwise we would not have been so frustrated.

Nice ambiance, especially if you like pink. The food is OK. My Philly cheesesteak was on Texas toast not chabatta like the menu promised and there was little cheese. Shoestring fries were ok. The Mrs chicken fingers were fine and hot. Steamed veggies were well steamed. Wait staff was nice and friendly.

I really did not want free pizza in the lobby of my hotel. I decided to go to Angels due to the closeness to my hotel. I did like the food. the service was ok. I was a bit confused on which door to go in because the side door is apprantly for their weekend steak house. I’d go back if I stop in the area again.

Great food, great service, The fried catfish was great, and my sides green beans and fries, were as good. I sat at the bar, watched the chefs cook my food as well as make many other guest food, they make everything from scratch, the place is clean and very nice staff, on top of everything I had a great dessert, I recommend stopping by if your staying for a bit or just passing through.

Overall a good experience, Crystal was our server and she was great. There were 8 of us in the party and all food came out at the same time ! Bonus! The items ordered varied but the crowd favorite was my daughters Chicken Fried Steak, by far the best presentation and she ate it all. Nuff said. The remaining burgers and Phillies were appropriate for their pricing.

Take a step back in time and bring your appetites! You’ll be greeted with«Welcome to Angels, have a seat anywhere you like! «Breakfast is served all day long. You’ll have a wide variety of diner lunch/dinner choices also. The first night we ate at the Steakhouse which is located in the same building. To tell you the honest truth I was leary of eating there, but one bite of the artichoke dip quickly changed my mind! We ordered the sirloin steaks(one 6 ounce, one 10 ounce). I’m very picky about steak and these steaks were cooked to perfection and tasted just the same! The waitress, Crystal, was very attentive along with the other staff. We enjoyed dinner and the staff so much that we went back the next day for breakfast before hitting the road! Don’t pass up this diner!
