Morado’s

This place was awesome when it was located downtown. New location… not nearly as cozy. Delicious food at an affordable price.

This restaurant is basic. Basic food, basic service, basic atmosphere. Food was burnt, lightly warm, mediocre. Tortilla chips were stale and not really considered «Mexican.» I could go on, but I think it’s enough. Sorry, not sorry.

Driving back to San Antonio and needed to fuel up on some food. Found this restaurant on Unilocal.Great food at great prices and the tortillas were delicious!!! Sit in Alvaro’s section, he was very attentive!

A good place to eat! Our server was Miguel. Alicia had the Sombrero and I had the Milanes a. The food come out hot and quick! There are not many restaunts where you have to wait for your food to cool, but this is one of them. The portions were good sized and tasty. Plenty of food and the price was good. For the two of us, it was just under $ 30.00 (gratuity included). By no means a fancy place, and not one that you would «name drop», but a good, tasteful, right priced meal can be had here.

I was in McAllen for work for the first time and wanted to make sure that I had some quality Mexican food. I could not be happier that I found Morado’s on Unilocal.It far exceeded my expectation for great quality and authentic Mexican food. This place was so good that it has made me not want to eat Tex-​Mex in Austin as much because I am comparing it, haha!
I ordered a combination plate that had beef fajitas, a taco, tostada, enchilada, and rice. It was A LOT of food, but was a great for a taste of everything that they have. The highlight was the fresh shell of the taco (not from a box or prepped earlier in the day) and the tenderness of the fajitas. Additionally, I left the restaurant only spending 12 dollars for a mountain of food. Highly recommended.

1^st time here and will D-​E-​F-​I-​N-​I-​T-​E-​L-​Y come back, super good, well serve & fast service plus prices are GREAT :)

When we walked in, we were told we could sit anywhere. Just as we were about to sit down, they said, we couldn’t sit in that area. They tried sitting us at a small table but I explained that we needed more room. We finally were able to sit and order or drinks. I ordered a beer but they didn’t have any that were cold. So i suggested for them to put some on ice. Our dinner was brought out to us. My son ordered the t bone that was half fat. Anytime i needed anything, i had to wave someone down. The waitress didn’t come back unless we are waving. I’ll never go back.

This place has great food. They could of course, improve their coffee, but if the food is great and the coffee isn’t…I can manage.

Carna asada plate. … that’s the only words that need to be said. Great food service is a little slow but damn the food was worth it.

The best Botanas in the valley, ordered for 8 and there was lots of leftovers, ordered ahead of time and it was ready in 30 min.

Pretty good mexican food and the price is cheap! Got the taco plancha for $ 8 bucks and the servings r huge. 3 cheese fajita filled tacos with rice beans guac charro beans and free chips n salsa wich were also good. Try it out! Always packed for breakfast
