Great food. Fair prices. Our server, Mario is always welcoming when we walk in… I have been eating here consistently for over 4 years every other Sunday for breakfast. I have a men’s group of about 7 – 8 guys who really enjoy eating here and have never complained about anything. 5stars is well deserved.

Parking lot is full at times. Overcharge, count your check and make sure they tried to overcharge me and I’ve read that on other reviews. Tables were clean chairs were dirty. Fast to get water and chips and the order came out quickly. Mexican plate was very good for the price $ 7. The restaurant looks nice on the inside but a lack of insulation sound insulation and it echoes so it’s very loud inside. I recommend this place I have gone here for many years and will go back.

we have been customers for over 5 years, but never will we step foot into this place again !!! customer has never been great and we took a few hits but yet continued to go but yesterday was the last straw !!! they tend to over charge people especially the men that don’t check their tickets and then they try to blame waitress writing! also front staff charging in the one on mccoll, blonde hair lady lady 40’s or 50’s, is the worst !! the owner nor her have good manners and don’t know how to treat their customers right !!! they don’t say hi nor bye when you step foot into the restaurant they stare at you as if you are gonna steal from them !! well let me tell you i had my family member complain about her enchilada plate, that they tasted burned, and she ate 1 only, and half my brother cut it to try it & said the same thing. so the waitress tells them in the back & it becomes a big drama for everyone !!! she goes & she tells everyone even the front staff & they make it a big deal and literally tell her she shouldn’t have eaten the whole enchilada, she should have said something sooner!!! at this point, we were beyond disbelief! !! they were accusing her of trying to get 2 more enchiladas free!!! how could this business still be in business like this !!! instead of having great customer service and replacing the food they chose to rude, inconsiderate & just plain awful speaking their mind and accusing of stealing their food !!! we were just the texas for a good meal, but that didn’t happen, now i ask please please don’t ever step foot into this place hopefully they can finally see that their badge customer service is what lost all their customers !!! & if u do go please check your receipts cause they are the theives stealing your money!!! we a large of of family, brothers sisters, newphews, like 30 all together won’t ever stop at this place!!!

This is one of those places where you can find authentic Mexican food. Like you were eating in Mexico without worrying about the bullets. The pace is always crowded and busy, which is a testament to having good food and the staff is hustling around. Check it out!

I used to love this place until I went here last April and I haven’t been back since. While the food was good for the price, the way the actual owning family treats their customers is despicable. When I was washing my hands in the restroom and as I was about to leave, the owner’s son comes in and nearly slams the door in my face(it opens inward). I look at him stunned by almost being hit by the door and his words to me were, «excuse you» like it was my fault. My wife and I had been faithful patrons, eating there at least once per week for over 5 years. I refuse to go back to a place where customers are treated wish such disregard; and by the owning family, no less! When I talked to the night manager(who we have known for years) to find out if the guy worked there so I could report him(I saw him go into the kitchen after the incident), he told me that this was the owner’s son. I was shocked and knew it would be my last visit there!

I went to the Taco Fiesta in Pharr as a kid with my family all the time, and was so excited when they built this one a while back. This place is my family’s go-to restaurant for any occasion, even if there isn’t one. Every time I visit the valley, I make sure to come here. The food is great and the prices aren’t bad either. To me, it’s a staple of the valley and reminds me why I love visiting my family.

The cheeseburger hit the spot. Very juicy and the veggies were very fresh. The waitresses have attitude though. Ignore them until you need a refill.

Very good home style tex mex. good portions, cheap, and flavorful. 3 stars because it’s not amazing. But if you want something cheap, quick and tasty, this your place.

This place denies service to wounded veterans with service animals. Disgusting. Spend your money with the multitude of other restaurants who support those who give up so much for us.

Got back from lunch at Taco Fiesta a few days ago. Don’t know why I’ve never written a review of this place before but after that dayI felt compelled to write a review. I’ve eaten here for breakfast many many times and you really can’t find a better place for a good plate of machacado con huevo with homemade corn tortillas, plus they have a daily special my office manager always has when we go. But I’d never eaten lunch there till a few days ago when I ate lunch there with two of my daughters. I was craving Caldo de Res, and we went there with the hope it would be good. Well folks it was excellent! I still make a better caldo at home, but this was good, the best in McAllen. The girls loved their food and from what I saw being served all the food looks great. It is Tex Mex at its finest. Thumbs up raza!

This place is a revelation, for years I have suffered and toiled with enchiladas. Bland, greasy, disgusting soggy burritos served to me haphazardly by pretenders by blasphemers. Yes I might sound biblical but the chicken enchiladas here are nothing sort of a god-sent miracle, just like my girlfriend who brought me here.

This is almost my favorite tex mex restaurant in the area. Only thing that would make it better is if they had some cheap margaritas or beer. The salsa is so spicy sometimes I’d even settle for a wine cooler. The menu has a wide variety of items I have yet to try. Not sure why I always get the same thing. Maybe because it’s so good? I’d recommend going at off times. It will still be busy, but if you dare to go right at noon or dinner time, you’ll be fighting for a parking spot in and outside of the restaurant. If you like tex mex style food then the Mexican plate is a good choice. Gives you a sampling of the most popular food items. A taco, enchilada, and a tostada. If you’re a big eater you can double up the items on the Deluxe Mexican Plate. If only they had a beer license they’d get 5 stars. Oh well, I respect their choice not to.

I must have been spoiled by the Mexican food in Chicago. Didn’t enjoy anything at this place. Will never go back.

So much good food to choose from! For breakfast, there are a lot of people who like the special but I prefer the chilaquiles and huevos rancheros. Lunchtime is a good time for panchos with aguacate. Supper time means the Mexican plate, chiles relleños, chalupas or enchiladas Suizas. When it is a rare chilly night in McAllen, their caldo hits the spot with plenty of fresh vegetables in it. Service is friendly, our orders have always been right and the owner/manager David always greets us. We haven’t tried the heavier meat-y dishes like carne guisada but almost everything we’ve tried has been so tasty. The red table salsa is close to addictive, it’s what I look forward to most when we dine at Taco Fiesta on McColl. Sometimes, if you are lucky, a mariachi band will stop in to play a few songs for the diners(and for tips.)

My family likes Taco Fiesta very much. We usually order Mexican food but their cheeseburger & fries plate is delicious too. My favorites for breakfast are the chilequiles and huevos rancheros over easy but their breakfast special always draws many customers. For lunch and supper, we’ve enjoyed the Mexican plate, deluxe Mexican plate(with an extra taco and extra enchilada, in addition to the goodies on the regular Mexican plate), chalupas(no meat), chiles relleños and panchos with guacamole, no meat. The only dish I’ve had which I did not enjoy was the chicken envueltos. For some reason, they are topped with a brown, meaty gravy instead of the fresh, light tomato sauce that I expected. They have a special for every meal, every day so it’s hard to overspend. The sweet tea with lime is delicious and served in a huge glass. Milk is available too. Their homemade hot sauce served with chips is good enough to eat as a meal! Believe me, I’ve been tempted to order nothing else. Service is always good and friendly. David the manager will serve too, if they are busy. We are happy to see that Taco Fiesta is going strong, despite another Mexican restaurant moving in next door.
