This place is consistently BAD. I’ve been here three times, each time getting progressively worse. I ordered a sandwich last time and the bread and fries were soggy. This time I ordered the Amazing Chicken Sandwich. It was amazingly inedible. The chicken strips were so hard my dog turned them down. The bread was soggy to the point of dissipating in my hands. The onion rings were also soggy. My brother-in-law and husband ordered gyros, took two bites, and threw them in the trash. Consistently not 5 stars. This was the worst place I’ve eaten in McAllen.

It pains me to do this because my first experience here was ambigiously average. I wanted the second time to be better and orderd MARY’S LAMBGYRO — all caps — on a late night craving. In short, I ani’t going to order on Maggie’s suggestions no more. The onion rings that I opted to up grade for made me really rethink why we fry onions at all. It didn’t taste like much effort or time was put into my to-go order.

If you looking for the best its here! You have to try the Miami Nights Cuban Sandwiches. Trust me! That mouth watering Roasted Pork, White Cheese, Pickles and Mustard spread on a Cuban Bread! Finger Licking Good! They also have this amazing Roasted Pork Fries with a sprinkled Scallion Onions. They also have their own unique signature sandwiches. If you get creative its an awesome food experience. The food is fresh and its a super clean location. Special shout to those Chefs! Always with a smile on their face proud on what they do. The Mighty Truck some what captured the Austin, TX «Food Truck» experience that its far very rare when it comes to the valley. Personal recommendation, to admire the finest experience is to enjoy your food out on the picnic tables. On the other hand, the only down side was their customer service in the front counter. Sometimes its more than great food but the experience and interaction with whom you server.

Came here close to closing time, and the staff was really nice and welcoming. They have daily specials to keep it interesting, and different fresh fruit juicing(pineapple and hibiscus, for example). I got the Monday special veggie burger– which had an amazing texture for a veggie burger. Thick, but crispy and well seasoned. I love seeing the food truck culture expanding here in the valley. This place is definitely a great spot if you love interesting street eats.

Ordered a «Mighty Burger»…it was pretty depressing. The meat was dry, and the fries were pathetic. I hate to talk bad about a local eatery, but the food just wasn’t great. Maybe I ordered wrong, but for a place that touts its burgers, I expected much more.

If you like shrimp, come on Taco Tuesday! They have the best shrimp tacos. The fries with the pulled pork are also delicious!

The best food truck in McAllen! The food is great and everyone who works there is really nice. They recently opened up an actual restaurant location where their food truck was usually situated and it looks very cute! Don’t worry, they still also have the actual food truck, so they stay true to their name. They also updated their menu to include a bunch of new options like pastas, salads, and a variety of new desserts. My personal favourite is the chicken sandwich(not sure if it’s still under the same name since they updated their menu, but it’s the one with the chicken strips and the coleslaw). I’ve also tried their magical pasta and it’s pretty good. My boyfriend who I always come with really likes the gyros here, so if you’re looking for a good gyro then you’ve come to the right place. c: Their drinks are very good also. You can definitely tell they’re freshly homemade because they taste very natural(not overly sweet or dull and watered down at all). I tried their watermelon lemonade along with their cucumber mint lemonade and I loved them both! The only downside to the food is that it is a little oily, but that’s to be expected. Don’t go to a food truck expecting to watch your calories! Although with the new additions to their menu, you can always try their salads or pastas if you’re looking for something a little leaner. If you’re looking for good food at a good price then The Mighty Truck is the right stop for you. :-)

Tried the chicken sandwich. The heavily breaded fried chicken strips were a bit too much with the toast, but enjoyed the flavors of the slaw and other toppings. A grilled chicken breast would’ve been perfect. The Mighty Fries were mighty tasty with the garlic sauce. Friends enjoyed their burger and the pulled pork fries. If your eating on their patio be prepared for a few flies to join you, this being Texas in the summer. Our server said they will soon be opening up an inside dining area and extending their hours. We’ll be back.

Ordered the Mexicana burger and it was delicious! The burger was packed with onions and they put a lot of avocado which I liked. The Mighty Fries are alright, they weren’t to my liking but that’s just me. A friend of mine ordered their chicken sandwich and that was delicious too! For a food truck joint, they have great portions and the money is worth it. Will definitely come back to try their other burgers!

«The Mighty Food Truck» well let me begin by saying that the service at this place is very poor. Unfortunately the orders were being brought out very slowly and in singles. Nobody wants to wait over an hour for a burger and fries, when you can get them in five minutes anywhere else in the in the RGV. The purpose of a food truck is for quick and speedy service, this place definitely forgot about that. I personally will not be coming back to eat at the mighty food truck again because of the slow service they provided. According to the waitress their main specialty is burgers, when I dined with them I decided to give their Mexican style burger a try, which really didn’t have anything that can be considered special. The burger itself contained regular ground beef patty mixed with chorizo, grilled onions, avocado and mayo. They did however serve the burger on a different type of bread with melted butter on top. I don’t know the name of the bread, but it was very soft and definitely a better choice than your average sesame seed bun. Normally when I eat out at a new place I like to order more than one entrée, so I also ordered their ceviche, let me just come out and say it was not good, lacked flavor and presentation. The last thing on the menu that I ordered was their pulled pork fries now this item was very good and I do have to give the the mighty truck credit for it. This to me is one of the better items on their menu, the serving size was a bit small but the flavor made up for it. If you are completely bored and have nothing else better to do on a Friday/Sat night and are not in a hurry you might have a patience to wait to get your food served but if your looking for a quick bite this if NOT the place.

First time at the mighty truck. We had pulled pork egg rolls and the chicken sandwich with the mighty fries. Everything was de-li-cious!!! Looking forward to trying more things on the menu.

Everything is delicious ! & very creative! I’m a huge burger fanatic but I think my favorite item of the menu is their chicken sandwich. If I had to suggest something it would just be lower volume on the music that’s it cause the food is perfect!

Good food, I would recommend the lamb gyro with the tzaziki sauce. Enjoyed the mighty fries, a bit too oily but the garlic sauce on them was the reason I finished them. My wife had the mighty burger said its a good homemade burger. The burger bun should have been toasted and the regular fries where bland and could use some seasoning. The server was very friendly and attentive.

Food was good! I ordered the mighty burger with the mighty fries just because I wanted to taste THEIR burger. The first thing I noticed was that the burger and the fries were very oily. Whenever I tried to pick it up it would slip off so I patted the oil away. The fries were okay. I was not in love with them because I felt like they were to garlic-y but my friends love them so I think it’s just a preference. The drink of the day was strawberry lemonade with a hint of mint. It was good and my friends loved their as well. It was just too sweet but that just might be me because I’m not a huge fan of lemonade. The service was alright. It wasn’t too formal but it’s a food truck so it’s meant to have a chill vibe. Overall, I’d love to go back and try their other food! I hope the valley gets more food trucks!

Honestly was a bit disappointed. Maybe it was just because i had high expectations. I got The Mighty Burger with Mighty Fries since i saw that everyone in line was going for it and it seemed like their signature dish(hence all the«Mighty» –ness) and when I tried it the meat was dry. The onion rings were very mushy and the burger overall did not have much flavor. Heck, i had to add ketchup just to give it some flavor! The Mighty fries weren’t so Mighty either. Theyre like potato wedges but mine were undercooked! The Mighty sauce doesnt have as much of a kick or flavor to it as i thought it would. What made my trip there worst was that i waited probably roughly 30 minutes just to get 2 burgers to go. The flavor drink of the day was a coconut cucumber mint and in my opinion wasnt really good at all. My friend however did like it so maybe that’s just me. The main reason I give this two stars though is the very long wait and that they ended up messing up my order! They gave me the regular fries instead of the Mighty Fries so I had to walk back to the food truck to tell them. The service there isnt thay great either. Hopefully since theyre new theyll look into these flaws and improve because the valley does need more food trucks!

Drink of the day was a pineapple mint drink. Super delicious. I really liked when he informed me that they use the fryer for meat since I’m vegetarian and ordered the vegetarian burger. I didn’t even have to ask! Really great food.

Fantastic food! I ordered the Che Boludo because I love Argentinian flavors and it was amazing. The mighty fries are a must! Highly recommend those. The staff was super friendly too! Can’t wait for their restaurant to open. P. S. They have Fried Twinkies!!! Must go!
