Looks like a small hole in the wall sushi joint. Well looks can be deceiving. We only had the Sushi, but all the other customers were eating the full meals and they looked and smelled devine. The Sushi was fresh and very pleasing to the eye and taste buds. Everything we ordered was fantastic. We were just passing threw, on our way back to Louisiana from Atlanta. But, Will make this restaurant a standard stop on any future trips!

My family and I loooveee to eat here. We have tried so many dishes here and all of them were so so good. The people here are very nice and friendly, always ask if we need anything at all. Definitely will be back when we are in town

Finally, Indonesian food in Alabama! The Japanese selection is also good. I have ate here 5 times, and would eat here more often if it wasn’t so far away. We have usually dropped by on a long detour to or from the Gulf or Atlanta. The New York roll is awesome, have tried a few more rolls in the past, but can’t remember which ones.
Have also tried majority of the Indonesian dishes, all are authentic, I have been to Indonesia 8 times and counting. Sate Ayam (chicken sate) is a good place to start. The bakso they make is a 10 in my book, but I am unsure if it is still on the menu. I hate to see this place have a few bad reviews dragging it down, when I have had so many great meals here.

I love this place I’m so glad I was referred here by a friend of mine that raved about there food! Decided to try it out for lunch one day this is my second time here! I did take advantage of the Unilocal deal $ 15 for $ 30 what an awesome deal! I love the food, atmosphere, and staff.
Compared to the new Japanese Resturant in the area this is by far the best of the two! This is a gem that needs more visitors to patronage!

I had the Hibachi it was excellent and plenty of food especially for lunch. My son had the sushi and he said it was excellent. He even complimented the Chef on the way out. Service was awesome. Loved being able to eat outaide. We had my 2 year old Granddaughter with us and she was being a handful. Waitress was very helpful.

This is a very nice little restaurant. The service is very good and they are friendly people. The food is prepared well and tastes very good. I think their teriyaki dishes are better than most. The sushi is good but slightly overpriced for the quantity of fish given. We go often and will continue to happily recommend them.

It is a little pricy, but it is good. I am just thrilled to finally have a restaurant in town to get some real sushi from. I also enjoy eating the hibachi and other Japanese dishes from the menu.

Loved this place when they first opened, bureau lot and service went downhill quickly. The soup appetizer is too fishy and the ginger salad too thick with mayo. We haven’t been back in a while, so it’s possible there have been improvements.

Awful food and awful service. When I first tried to order from here I called an hour before the restaurant was supposed to close for a pickup order. I was then informed that they closed early because they were slow. When i asked for clarification, I was then told that they closed because they ran out of rice. Needless to say I was annoyed with both answers. I gave them another try later that week and placed a pickup order. When I came to pick up my order the servers were all standing around the checkout counter talking. After waiting patiently for them to clear the way so I could pay, one of the servers asked ‘do you need something?’ When I told them I was picking up a phone order, she reached over the counter and grabbed my food. She started to hand it to me then pulled it back and asked if I had paid for it yet. I told her I hadn’t and she said its be another minute. I waited for the servers to finish their conversations around the register so I could step up and pay. When I finally tried the sushi, all the rolls tasted the exact same — mushy, fishy, and lots of cucumber. This sushi was worse than the sushi from the grocery store that’s been sitting in the cooler all day. When I told my coworker about my experience and the food, she told me she had a very similar experience and agreed with me on the food. This is definitely a place I would recommend anyone avoid if at all possible.

Every time I eat there it is wonderful! The soup is awesome especially if you need to clear your sinuses. The food was good and the sushi was even better. I can always tell how good a place like this is going to be by tasting the yummy sauce. The yummy sauce here is the best I’ve tasted around the bham area.

If I could put zero stars, I would. This place is AWFUL! DO NOT GO HERE!!! I have never written an online review of any place, but this was so bad that I want to warn everyone not to waste their time and money! We waited for over an hour, and only received our rolls after we threatened to leave. The explanation was that the restaurant was «busy» (there were still plenty of empty tables), but somehow the lead cook was still not so occupied that he could come out and personally convince us not to leave. Interestingly, the four most expensive rolls that we ordered (which were not the ones we indicated we wanted first) all came out within two minutes, including the Takoyaki Special Roll that typically take longer to make. The place is a scam, based on slow wait times that make sure you won’t stay long enough to order more than the maximum profit for the restaurant. BS. I will never eat there again — spread the word.

My friend suggested this place, it was really good! My steak was perfect, rice and vegetables were good, the soup and salad was also good! I tasted her New York roll and it was good as well. Will definitely be back:) Great addition to this part of town!

Great sushi, awesome staff, fast service, and priced right. By myself or with my family lunch or dinner this is a regular spot for us. Just wish it had more seating.

We’ve been here several times and have always had a great experience. The hibatchi dinners are excellent and good portion sizes. Servers are always really friendly. Several times they have made balloon animals for the little kids, which our kids love.
Glad to have another great restaurant on this side of town.
