The Bear’s Den

Orange and cream milkshake tastes wonderfully like… a creamsicle! I’m glad I got the chance to try one of their random milkshake flavours.
Burger patty was big and I liked how they didn’t do a rush job on the burger despite walking in right before closing. It took longer, and if we were waiting in the drive-​thru, it would be longer than I would’ve liked but this is likely because they were close to closing and had to start the burgers
They have reduced winter hours and close the dining room early, though the drive-​thru remains open. We parked and waited in the dining room (which was already closed and cleaned) and they did a good job cleaning.

Burger, fries & a shake. Doesn’t get any better than this. 28 different shake flavors, plus they let you mix and match. I had a strawberry cheesecake. It was scrumptious. Kids had pineapple and loved theirs too.

Great food. Customer service was great and if you want to sit outside they have 3 good sized picnic tables.

My firar time here, great experince. Customer service is amazing! Milkshakes are good and so are the burger! Big serving size for reasonable prices! Definitely a must stop when passing mccleary

We were on our way to the 101 and got hungry. We saw a sign on the highway that said there was a Subway at the exit… I’m very happy that we saw the Bears Den across the street. Nothing against Subway, but why eat the same old stuff when you’re on a vacation?
Only the owner was there when we came in. She was very kind and made some recommendations. She made sure we were enjoying our lunch a few times.
We ordered a couple of burgers and a shake. The prices were reasonable and there were many options to choose from. I had the western burger. It was tasty with BBQ sauce and bacon, but I would have liked more onion rings on it. (I know I know… BBQ sauce and bacon are good enough without extras.)
They provided us our own bottle of fry sauce with the meal! Awesome… I love sauce! By the owner’s recommendation, we had fried mushrooms with tartar sauce. Good call!
The milkshake is where I took off a star. It tasted great and was very thick. However it was a bit small. I finished it on the road and at the end of the drink, I found chunks of flavor powder or malt mix… Not sure what it was, but it made me regret my drink.
I suppose ordering an eggnog flavored anything in July does not go unpunished. I’ll be back though!

Pretty good burgers on my first trip. Big with lots of topping options. Good shakes too.
On my second trip though i had issues. It was noon on Saturday, the ‘open’ sign was lit and there were people in the restaurant, yet when i went to open the door, it was locked. (Though i might have tried opening it wrong, but it said pull and i pulled.)
I was not very happy about this and ended up walking across the street to Subway.

I frequent this place once to twice a week. Food is very good, prices are reasonable. The staff there is excellent. It is always clean, comfortable. Give it a try if you are in the neighborhood.

Decent hamburger and fries but you’re gonna feel the grease later! Staff is friendly and they’re very amenable to substitutions and changes. Prices are cheap.

This is everything you want from a small town restaurant.

This place is exactly what you want when you want a great burger at a great price. Customer service was great, fast, and friendly. Resturant was clean and comfortable. Bacon cheese burger was excellent, 100% Angus beef, and perfectly cooked bacon. Iam no food critic but this place impressed.
