Friendly and engaging staff, large selection of fabric and great shop samples. I really liked the ease of navigation in the store, how everything is grouped in sections. Just wish they had a larger scrap bin to rummage through and a sign directing you to where the discounted fabric is located. I wasn’t aware of it until one of the employees asked if I’d been to that section yet… there were a LOT of bolts of fabric! They also are a Babylock and Handiquilter dealer.

Fabulous quilting and fabric shop in an easy to access location off I-75 north in McDonough, GA. There’s a huge selection of fabric, notions, etc and they sell Bernina and BabyLock(I think) machines. Staff is great! Used to live in GA and visited frequently; now in FL and miss this shop. I stop on my way to Atlanta, tho. Highly recommend!

Where has this shop been all my life? I think I’m in love! Let me just say that if you’re a quilter, sewing enthusiast or even sew for fun… Run, don’t walk, Run to A Scarlet Thread! I do a lot of embroidery and it seems these days that appliqué is what everyone loves and it is often difficult to find cute fabric at the larger stores. This shop has literally hundreds and hundreds of bolts of fabric to chose from. What’s more is that they have it meticulously arranged so that it is easy to find what you are looking for. Plus they have hundreds of pre-cut coordinating fabrics to chose from. I literally spent an hour just looking at all they had! Needless to say, I ended up with a buggy full of fabric bolts to have cut. When I went to the cutting counter, I honestly expected the lady to get aggravated because I had about 15 bolts and needed only a fraction of a yard cut… but much to my surprise, I couldn’t have been more wrong. She was extremely kind and happy to help me. Every single employee I encountered in the store was helpful and courteous. You won’t get that at Hobby Lobby! Can’t wait to go back

Besides being a great quilt shop… I am SO grateful for Ken(owner with his wife) — who was so gracious to work on my Baby Lock Tiara at a time that worked best for me and have it sewing back like new! If you need your Baby Lock worked on, I can’t recommend him highly enough.

What a wonderful quilt(and more) store! A huge location with an enormous selection of fabrics that is well worth the drive to McDonough. The staff was incredibly helpful, especially considering how overwhelming the store can be on your first trip in. They have fabric in every genre — bright and bold modern prints from Moda and Amy Butler, a large batik section, novelty fabric, holiday prints year-round. No matter what you are looking for, they will have something! There are many kits available, and their signature«Bundle of Joy» packages are truly genius. I walked out with fabric for a few big projects and can’t wait to have a reason to go back!
